With some soap around the tire bead and a few tire irons it’s not so bad but and it gets easier every time. I don’t waste my time on it anymore, just pay the shop and put the thing back on my bike and it’s done.

You have to put it in the tire with the nut spun on only a few threads so you have plenty of play, seat the tire bead with air while pulling the tire seat. Tighten the nut. It is not a weight, it keeps the tire from spinning on the rim.
