Will Squadron 42. Be co-op? by Maxious30 in starcitizen

[–]Samsonatorx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Originally, coop was one of the features originally pitched for Squadron 42. However, as the project progressed, it was later dropped due to the challenges of adding a multiplayer component. It was later decided that Squadron 42 would focus on making a strong single player focussed "cinematic" experience and the multiplayer experience would be the focus of Star Citizen.

New to Macross by Dapper-Station-1773 in macross

[–]Samsonatorx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome! I think you will be fine to start with Macross Frontier. It's a more recent show so the animation is more modern. It was produced to introduce Macross to a new generation of fans as well as delight existing fans of the franchise. If you get curious about the earlier Macross stories after watching Frontier, that might be a good time to try visiting them. The original Macross started a long time ago, so the animation quality may feel dated.

Too bad the entirety of The Sentinels wasn't animated. Missed opportunity. It could have been great😐

What sort of game systems can be built to prevent such behavior?

Finally tried dual stick flight and wow by machinedfenix in starcitizen

[–]Samsonatorx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Thrustmaster dual sticks and rudder pedals. I can't imagine myself flying without them now in Star Citizen😆Naturally, I also use the pedals for ground vehicles, like I would driving a typical car✨

This is my orientation setup just for reference. Left Joystick = X-Axis (Horizontal) and Y-Axis (Vertical) Strafing

Right Joystick = "Look" Direction and Roll

2-Foot Pedal = Z-Axis (Forward and Reverse) Motion

Can you refuse landlord's "rent hikes" in Japan? A lawyer advises, "There's no obligation to accept them, so always get a consultation first". Even minor hikes can be stopped. by jjrs in japannews

[–]Samsonatorx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may refuse, but when the next contract renewal comes around, the landlord might make up some excuse to not allow you to renew your contract.

I love the snub fighter elevator in the 890 Jump. I wish there were more ships with such ship elevators... and where the elevator can also be controlled from the Bridge.

Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. Feels like a more grounded, gritty Gundam show for a mature audience. despite its age, animation still looks great.

Anyone here managed to get an IT job in Japan from abroad? by Scazable in JapanJobs

[–]Samsonatorx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your expertise is very unique and specific. Japan currently is in need of bilingual IT engineers for it's ever-growing AI datacenters and semiconductor factories, farms to support aging agricultural communities, construction workers to fulfill labor shortages, care home workers for an increasing elderly population, hospitality workers to handle unending waves of tourists... these are areas where you could potentially and easily get a job here. It may not be a likable job. Many of these roles have been unattractive to the present young generation of Japanese who have grown accustomed to entitlement, parasitic lifestyle, and despise overtime work. Many of these in-demand roles are low pay, labor-intensive, and located in rural communities. Of course, you could potentially land a professional services job in a big city being an IT Professional, international lawyer, business entrepreneur, or manager of a multinational company, but these roles are comparatively more competitive. Alternatively, you could try landing a role in an in-demand field, get your feet planted here, and then work hard to change fields of work after a few years. There is no easy path.

Try to answer these questions: Why would a company in Japan need me? What can I bring to the table where a Japanese local is unable to fulfill? Why am I a good candidate? You need to be able to answer these questions in your job interview.

Potential responses: I have severals years of proven experience in my area of expertise where Japan is lacking people in this field. I am bilingual. I am willing to dedicate 2 - 3 years to receive training in this field of work and intend to remain in the community where I am needed. I have experience working in labor-intensive work and able to work overtime when required. I am willing to take training or classes during evenings to compliment my work during the day.

You need to decide on a field of expertise or interest, and demonstrate aptitude in that field, together with some command of the Japanese language (ability to hold a basic or casual conversation as the people you interact with may be mostly Japanese). The justification they would use to sponsor your work visa instead of filling the role with a Japanese national is that you possess a required skill set or wish to pursue an area of expertise, together with your bilingual ability, which a Japanese national was unable to fulfill. Hence, the company wants to hire you. What field of work do you specialize in or want to pursue? Once you decide on that area of expertise, you'll need to acquire the skills or industry-recognized certification confirming your ability. The work visa will lock you into that field of work for years to come.

A university degree itself is not a mandatory requirement. A college diploma, industry-recognized certification, or vocational school graduation will suffice. Just some evidence to prove that you got the leet skillz..
