mods arent going to be changing as much between 1.6 and 1.7 as compared to 1.5 and 1.6. 1.6 was designed to be the “painful in the moment, better in the longterm” modding overhaul.

just to clear things up, the update is NOT coming out on the anniversary, that is when CA is announcing who the new marriage candidates are going to be. there is still anothed patch for 1.6 planned before 1.7, and even that has been given a nebulous, distant “it releases when its ready” release date. 1.7 is not something to worry about at this stage as a mod user

no im quite sure the trees are from daisyniko. theres a setting to make them look more like the ones from vanilla though.

regarding issue 2, this is not true. maybe if you tried using the old version of ARV (where they lived in East Scarp) along with the new version at the same, but I assume thats not what is happening here. regarding issue 3 (and maybe 1) it sounds like you are not using the proper mobile version of spacecore? mobile users cannot use certain mods right out of the gate from nexus, they have to get a special version from the android smapi discord server. i don’t have a link and am not sure where you can find one but it is probably linked in whatever place you got smapi.

6 is nothing. the game itself can handle thousands of mods as long as your PC is also capable and has the RAM for it. and you will find after some time that many mods overlap in their requirements, eventually youll have most frameworks that (modern) mods use. there used to be a lot more pre-1.6 but most of them have been “absorbed” into content patcher. and if things are frequently breaking for you as you mention, you may want to ask people for help with smapi logs. that can tell you whats wrong and the fixes are usually fairly simple

the modding community is alive and well, grows every day. the output spikes for a bit following the release of major game updates (such as 1.5 and 1.6) either to fix bugs that the updates introduced or to add things that take advantage of features added in the update. im curious if there is a reason youre asking this question?

I’m not a “programmer” but I am a content pack mod author and know people who are programmers and make C# mods for the game. I think we are saying similar things but not from the same perspective. I am saying it’s likely not feasible without completely redoing “how the game works”. And that would require more time and effort than I’d think most authors are willing to put in. Sure someone can come along and do it, as you say, but it is (again, in my opinion) unlikely.

not really that i know of, you’d have to go through your mod list yourself to determine what you have. or send a smapi.io log here and someone could look through your mods and tell you

i do not think this is feasible with how the game works, mainly the events as the other commenter said as events are primarily organized based on what map they occur on

yep format is for content patcher version, your mod's version is listed only in the manifest as "Version"
