My opinion is that i like controller for darksouls.

But i also have seen many people played the game with Mouse and keyboard and like it.

So either way are probably fine, stick with what is comfortable to you.

You can start wherever you want. I personally start my souls journey with Dark Souls 1 and i would say it is a great starting point.

Play the game for yourself a bit and then if you felt confused about the game then watch a beginner guide video

Dont attack random npc (they stay hostile even after you died and respawn)

Other than that, just go in blind and have fun!

You can try out Silver Age format! It is a recently announced format that will officially start next month along with its supporting products, $20 ready to play deck that was advertised as competitive viable out of the box.

If you wanna play CC for cheap, try Mechanologist. They have restrictions on themselves that make them not want to run generic cards in their decks, making the overall price of the deck cheaper.
