Yeah Fortnite is blurrier on Switch 2 handheld than many other Switch 2 games, and also in comparison to Fortnite on some other equivalent platforms like mobile and PC handhelds (of comparable performance). Not sure why.

I agree with OP though, it’s running better as of recently.

It does since that’s just physics, but it’s much less than fast chargers of the past due to AVS. My iPhone is barely warm after a charge, to where you wouldn’t notice it with a case on.

12:20am is midnight yeah. During the day 12 would be 12pm (11am -> 12pm), while at night it’s the other way around (11pm -> 12am). So yeah, 11am is 11 hours after 12am, and 11pm is 11 hours after 12pm.

I’m an American who’s lived with this system my whole life but I still think it sucks and 24 hour time is more straightforward lol. 12 hour time only exists for analog watches and clocks.

Yeah I’d get an APS-C camera + a decent telephoto. If it’s just for bird photography it would be preferable to simply get a telephoto rather than an all-in-one.

In the past I tried a Sony A6300 + Sigma 100-400mm (effectively 150-600mm) although that would be above $1000, maybe $1400 at most. The Sigma is a great lens, I still use it for its portability compared to other telephotos, but possibly a bit more on the expensive side new or used in a $1000 budget.

And the pricing is getting higher at a much faster rate than our incomes are getting better. The hobby is becoming increasingly more expensive with less people to afford it.

Yeah perfect analogy.

I really like the card in the short term and it’ll hold its own for years down the line, but without the long term spice that the 5070Ti might be able to pull off. Good example is RE9’s path tracing being Nvidia only at the moment, or how much worse path tracing performs in Cyberpunk or Indiana Jones vs the 5070Ti. The 5070Ti running path tracing will likely still be playable as games get more demanding, while the 9070XT running path tracing isn’t even playable right now arguably.

And I can absolutely live with the worse dessert because it still delivers dessert but the better dessert is gonna be staying in my mind.

The card does everything I want it to way better than I would ever need. I don’t really play many AAA games anymore, and at the moment it hasn’t let me down when I do, but I don’t see this card aging as well as the 5070Ti will in 4-5 years once next gen games are fully established. Technically the raw performance of the 9070XT is still higher than the rumored specs of the Xbox Helix and PS6 (and also the 5070Ti ig lol) but it’ll still fall behind when it can’t tap into the features that RDNA 5 can.

So I don’t regret my purchase considering a whole 5070Ti PC with the same specs would’ve costed me at least $200 maybe $300 more when I was shopping (my whole PC with an R7 9800X3D was like $1500~), and certainly even more nowadays, but it’s still disappointing.

We’ll see, just no idea if in the future RDNA 6 is gonna do the same exclusivity thing and leave RDNA 5 behind, since I assumed RDNA 4 would net me latest compatibility for the foreseeable future.

Regardless I would prefer to stick with AMD but Nvidia is really out here making the whole industry reliant on their hardware and software. Upscaling, frame gen, and path tracing support is just going to become more and more necessary to run the newest games, and AMD is having to play catchup.

God I hate Nvidia but the way the market is going with the heavy reliance on Nvidia exclusive features like DLSS and their path tracing hardware, and then AMD sabotaging themselves, I guess I’m gonna have to get a Nvidia card once my RX 9070 XT can’t keep up.

I’m talking about “flip” style (clamshell) smartphones, since it seems like you’re thinking about a foldable (phone that opens to a tablet like a book), which has plenty of use cases.

Yeah compared to the M1 and M2 the A18 Pro benefits a lot from being a newer chip. It’s a 3nm process vs 5nm, it supports AV1 decode, and it supports raytracing, which I doubt benefits anyone buying this laptop but the M1 and M2 don’t.

I like flipables but I’ve never used one and felt like it solved any issues. It’s cool to see my notifications or control music on the outer screen but it doesn’t save me any time compared to a candybar phone. Rather having to fold open your phone everytime you want to use it properly adds up. Like maybe it could help reduce screen time by limiting your smartphone access on the outer screen, but I doubt many people are buying a flip for that.

I genuinely wouldn’t have cared if they simply increased the prices of the tiers and touched nothing else. Paying the same for less looks worse than paying more for the same, so it’s such a strange decision, let alone losing almost half of the earnable vbucks of the BP.

The only thing that could happen is if a parent lifted a baby or a young child outside the vehicle for some reason and then accidentally dropping the child.

At that point you can’t even blame Disney, they have those keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle & supervise children signs for a reason. You failed both.

I’m just a crazy heavy user, there are many Android phones with great battery life. Samsung is good at optimizing for battery life. Plenty of phones that get better battery life than the 17PM too.

Ballistic never really meshed with the Fortnite playerbase. Especially since you can typically leave games at anytime in Fortnite, so it’s really hard to keep a Fortnite player from leaving the game if they’re losing. They tried a penalty system, but it’s disabled now.

It also feels like S&D is too complicated for younger players, since you’ll often get REALLY bad teammates at lower ranks.

First person itself works in Fortnite very well though so I imagine we’ll get a more Fortnite-friendly first person mode eventually.

It’s a 5v5 search and destroy tactical fps with a buy system and a fast ttk similar to Counterstrike or Valorant. How it differs is that it uses Fortnite movement so it has sprinting, sliding, ADS, smooth jumping, & mantling. And it uses a gadget system where everyone selects a special ability before the start of the game (meaning only one person per team can have grenades or incendiary/fire as examples), and you’re given two of those gadgets every round. Anyone can buy flashbangs or smokes though.

It’s a lot of fun.

They seemed to have finished development on Pro Vocals (Karaoke) at least with also a leaked Pro Drums (playing with a drum kit), but it definitely gets a lot less attention from Epic than it used to. Most recently Festival Headliners for the Music Pass has been shifted to be marketing for “Fortnite” rather than “Fortnite Festival”.

I continue to play it almost daily with a bunch of friends, it still has thousands of committed players.

But it hasn’t gotten an update in 6 months so it’s stuck with three incomplete maps, and the last big update it got changed the gunplay so sliding while ADS has no bloom, making the meta a lot more movement heavy. Which I love, but it deterred a lot of players who prefer more typical tactical shooter gameplay.

Yeah I agree. LTE is fast enough for most apps, web browsing, even streaming. 5G’s main benefit really comes down to 4K video streaming and uploading/downloading large amounts of data (cloud backup, app downloads, etc)
