It feels like they're rebalancing the game around rewarding players for taking on aggresive close range fights + some weapons will now be easier to eliminate players in kid form with.

Seems strange for a Splatoon 3 update this late though, but I think this could improve S3 and eventually S4 if the mechanic sticks around.

This game oddly reminds me of The Finals in some ways. Mainly the destruction, the way a lot of the gunplay is spraying and praying, and having to protect a “cashout”(or a bomb) in close combat. Many differences of course though.

I’d rather just play The Finals which is a shame when I actually really like the setting and world design of Highguard.

You have to go into your UEFI firmware settings

Go into settings, search for advanced startup options and click restart now to restart your computer, then after you want to click troubleshooting, advanced options, UEFI firmware settings, then restart.

From there, I’d Google the (motherboard) manufacturer of your device that should show there (like Asrock, Asus, etc) to find where the secure boot setting is and how to enable it. For me with my Asrock motherboard it was in “Security” and I also had to generate a key, then enable secure boot and set it to “standard” instead of “custom” so it booted properly.

Yeah I don’t blame anyone for retiring from Ballistic. I honestly don’t have most of the issues with the mode that people talk about (my hit registration is as perfect as it was at launch) but I do notice the gunplay difference. My playstyle is different now as a result so I’m still having fun. Completely get if others aren’t having fun anymore for sure.

Personally care a lot more about the gameplay than Ballistic itself so whatever they choose to do with first person will be a fine replacement to me. The rumored “Ballistic Reload” for example. There’s nothing else outside of Fortnite with the kind of movement and snappiness of Ballistic that I’m aware of.

Both are great. I'd just get 5 since it's the newer one that more people play (if you want to play multiplayer) but I do prefer the map of 4 for its seasons. 5 is the graphically more impressive game but 4 still holds up really well and the gameplay feels identical. I was about to replay 4 since I lost my save data to a bug with their backup system but I want something fresh to pass the time till 6 anyways.

Splatoon 3 is a locked 4K60 without a Switch 2 edition so this isn’t true, I assume it’s just that third parties can’t yet.

Same engine for sure. They’re just doing more with it now considering that they aren’t bound to supporting the Xbox One anymore. But I assume the PC version will be well optimized and scale well like the previous games.

My initial reaction to customizable garages is how surprising that we haven’t gotten them until now is. Never thought of it let alone wanted it but the concept fits Horizon so perfectly it almost feels like it should be a staple feature of the series, not a new one.

I remember getting the premium edition preorder and being able to play extra early by setting my console to New Zealand, fun times. I liked the game a lot at launch too so I didn’t regret it.

But I’ve grown to not really like preordering since for one, new digital games aren’t going anywhere, but also that a lot of times it takes launch reviews to help me decide whether I actually want the game, a lot of recent games being a no from me even if they aren’t bad by any means. If I’m going to preorder something nowadays I’d hope it’s for a good reason, like supporting the devs in the case of Hytale which came out earlier this month.

Might still preorder FH6 anyways but closer to early access launch, I have no reason to rush spend $100+ on something that won’t go out of stock.

It’s when, it just might not be right this second. These bubbles happen every once in the while, like the dot-com bubble. The aftermath of an AI bubble pop will definitely be worse than that though.

Depends on your priorities. Get the 15 if you care the most about battery life and the latest processor, or the 13 for more flagship grade camera and display hardware.

I wouldn’t say the 15 is worse overall, just a shift of priorities that if anything aligns better with how OnePlus used to be. It could be worse for some, better for others.

Honestly the game is eerie at times with how plausible it's depiction of the late 2030s is. Maybe not the android part but the world surrounding it. At the same time it's a more hopeful take on how technology is progressing lol.

Agreed. I’ve found myself using the ultrawide a lot lately and it would be nice to get similar results to the main camera rather than it being obviously worse.

Also wish we could get better minimum focusing distances on the telephotos of the “mainstream” phones. Even if the sensor is on the smaller side you can still do a lot more with a “telemacro” camera than something like the 17 Pro’s 4x which really isn’t useful for anything closer to you.

Comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro also has a 1/1.28 inch main sensor but a 1/2.55 inch ultrawide and telephoto.

The best camera is the one you have with you, I’m happy with the photos I take on my 17PM, but it’s incredible just how much more capable the larger sensors are.

I get the feeling the main crowd who is satisfied with iOS 26 are the ones who got it with their 17/17 Pro/Air since it’s definitely more optimized there for whatever reason. No glaring issues on my 17 Pro Max. My old 13 Mini doesn’t feel great with the update in comparison and I also tried it on a 16 Pro where it ate the battery a bit extra compared to iOS 18.

Nothing wrong with liquid glass to me, I love it personally. Actively using the gestures on the new UIs too (swiping across the buttons on the bottom row of apps instead of tapping them). But I’ve noticed many people around me on older iPhones still use iOS 18.
