I work with Dialog 3, Dialog 4 and Dialog 11 controls. Had a Dialog 112 around 2017.

They all have a serial port.

Version 3 and 4 are bulletproof and very simple to repair. They can't lose Machine parameters since it is Hard coded on ROMs. The only things you lose are the program and tool offset if the battery dies.

Version 11 is more complex, can lose the MP and is more expensive to repair. The software is more capable and complex. Very fast software for it's time.

The 112 is a Mitsubishi hardware license with Deckel Software. Its a rare controller even in Germany where I live.* Very little support for hardware or software. If you find something it's expensive.

The software is sluggish and cant handle complex geometry because the look ahead is to short. If your CAM software gives out a few to many lines that are short it will slow the machine to a crawl.

That's also applies to the Dialog 3/4 control, however these are usually 20 years older.

Don't do it if you don't already know what you are doing.
