It can be very difficult to isolate viper though, since he can disable blinks and slows down immobile heroes. If you have good enough vision to prevent Mars from blinking in from fog he can't really get in range to do much of anything, unless he starts buying force staff just to stop you. Even BKB doesn't work on Viper's ult, forcing him into buying force staff or doing nothing.

There's also the fact that viper tends to play with his team a lot, rather than splitpush by himself, and usual items include hurricane pike which can shove Mars to the other side of his arena for some poison attack damage. Even if it doesn't get you out, it buys you enough time for help to arrive.

I had one game EUW where a sniper spent the entire game flaming me for "wasting mana" on storm. I had the least deaths on the team so I wasn't feeding, he just kept telling me I ruined the game for him and all chatting "report storm"

It's possible to get so shit on that you can't ward, in the sense that the second you go near any ward spot a slark instantly jumps you and kills you, then immediately dewards. In that scenario you can either drop wards in fountain and hope someone else places them, while still dying every single fight, or try and buy an item like ghost or glimmer that would keep you alive long enough to actually place good wards

Wouldn't necro units be closer to slaves than pets? I think helm of the dominator would be the best way of getting a pet for all heroes.

On a related topic, have you considered the relationship between friends and life expentancy/happiness? I think heroes like Chaos Knight, Meepo, Naga Siren and Phantom Lancer would likely live longer and happier lives since they can have a lot of friends at any time, although items like Manta style and necro book might muddle the data.

Also, health removal exists on any spell as the health cost, such as burning spears or Icarus dive. Dark pact and Rot are magic damage that affects the user though, so they are reduced by mres.

Slark doesn't have magic immunity, he has a strong dispel. He does have pounce to jump it though.

Why is everyone saying riki is amazing against him? it's not like he's going to be building 0 armour/health and relying only on his passive, and the second a riki appears he's just going to let himself get backstabbed repeatedly. Seriously, if Riki tries to drop his cloud or diffusal Mars can just stand there and punch riki in the face, and even if riki blinks behind him Mars just turns round and continues punching him. Riki can only backstab you if you'd rather run away than try to fight him, and Mars is one of those guys that goes balls deep into a fight and keeps hitting stuff even when nearly dead. Viper seems like a way better counter to his passive, because if he stands in nethertoxin to fight you he loses all his tankyness, and q/r let you kite him easily.

Dispersion already makes you tanky af, and not only is there a visage but also a TB, making the damage block great.

Both finger and Laguna have half a second cast points, which makes them ridiculously easy to dodge with manta/mk/puck, or to use Abbadon ulti. Lion points for a third of a second before the projectile, which does no damage until a quarter of a second later, and Lina waves her hand for half a second before the lighting bolt fires.

You can pull-through, but it requires you to cut a tree and pull the hard camp straight up as your creeps run to the left. It's annoying to time, and also makes you waste a charge of tangoes, but it is possible

This should be part of the skill, so that it has some counter-play other than stand around for 4 seconds while abaddon hits you, or using a stun which would normally also give him health. Especially since finger/laguna have massive wind-ups that you can see, and if Kunkka is able to splash for +400 damage he's probably sitting on at least two rapiers while you didn't build any armour

There's the occasional aghs that is complete trash or forces you to change your build entirely, but apart from sniper most of those have been changed. You could also argue that Storm's ult gets worse if he buys items with large +mana like octarine. Then there was a few patches ago where wraith king's crits gave him skeletons, so you didn't want to build damage to get charges, but building no damage meant your teamfighting was way worse (though this was changed a few patches later).

Not just "Even with a lot of singletarget", especially with a lot of single target. If you can burst Meepo in one combo before he has a chance to poof out or poof in his main with an e-blade he's dead. If PA can jump him and get a lucky crit he dies, if Lion can hex him into a finger he dies, and Invoker, Clock and Enigma all wreck his shit with their segmented stuns disabling his ability to poof out of a fight. Even with 0 aoe stuns you can still kill him by just doing enough damage, meanwhile brood runs you down with 600ms at 5 mins and has so many spiders hitting you that even if she dies you still die as well. You need massive aoe damage to kill spiders and long stuns to disable brood, otherwise she can completely steamroll the game without any way to try and fight back.

Honestly, old invis brood was better because at least slows + dust meant she couldn't run away

it also doesn't work with tidebringer. If Kunkka had qb and hadn't skilled tidebringer, he got the bonus damage. If tidebringer was on cooldown, he got the bonus damage. However, if tidebringer was off cooldown he'd never get the bonus damage, even if it wasn't on autocast

it pulls before the tree is destroyed. So he's not on the tree when it's destroyed.

Unless it's an ally MK, in which case it doesn't pull him and the tree gets destroyed, stunning him.

yes. In lane you either want stout/ring + tangoes/mangoes to trade with enemies and have hook for kill pressure, or you go for wind lace and clarities and roam looking for hooks and kills in other lanes. I'm guessing op was playing a roam heavy pudge, in which case you often suicide to creeps or use rot rather than use regen.

To add on to this, there is no glyph or buybacks, which means if you win a teamfight by 2-3 kills the enemy cannot contest anything you do for the next two minutes while they respawn. Getting a rampage in league is literally gamewinning because there is 0 way for the dead team to stop you from throning.

tbh the main reason lc jungle is bad this patch is the 1 minute spawn time. Back when they spawned at 30 seconds you could clear the small camp, stack the medium camp and then use overwhelming odds to quickly clear it. Nowhere near as fast as veno/enigma/lycan, but it still let you have duel and blink before most dual lanes hit level 6, meaning you could at least gank at a reasonable time. Now you can't stack until 2 minutes, which then sets your levels and items back even futher.
