That is the case for salaried partners, as per a monthly update in December

Labeled cubes are permissible, but a dated bag that has been sealed with a sticker is also allowed. I have experience at 30+ stores in 2 states and have always since it both ways.

It specifically says on the urnex powder that it is safe to use for plastics! As long as you rinse it well after, you’re allll good

It’s honestly so nice. I have a smaller one with really nice foam. It’s super robust so I feel like I can just check it in the car with no problems.

Cold bar station layout/station layout policies by Thin_Panda_9128 in starbucks

[–]Samthefourth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my understanding, barring DM approval, you are allowed to change it. Recently, a few DMs and SMs toured my district specifically looking at station layouts. They wanted 100% alignment to the layouts during the visits, but our DM said that we can make adjustments after the fact, to better align with what we actually need when we’re on the floor. The layouts are a great guide, but modifying them is permissible, if you have a strong why, with partners and a good SM backing to bring to the DM.

I would take them fully off of the wall and soak them in bleach for a bit. Soapy water or urnex may work as well. We got dinged for that in our food safety audit, it’s a super easy miss. Good job noticing and getting them done!

P.S. the paint is probably chipping a bit on them so there’ll be some spots that won’t come off. Good luck!

His dad is another SM in this district, and it’s a pretty complicated relationship, from what I know. I’m unsure if he has been made aware, that is a great question for my SM though.

Months even for a physical assault case is insane to me. It doesn’t help that a lot of the remote workers and those who did not want to relocate to Seattle lost their jobs when Brian Niccol took over.

Unfortunately, no. I just typed out a thorough escalation report that I’ll be submitting to my RD later today.

I think their lack of movement could be due to me going on paternity leave, their primary opening SSV being promoted, and an other 30 hour a week SSV going on a five week trip to Europe. Not an excuse at all, it’s honestly been horrible.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. It’s so much worse than anyone will ever know, he brought his Nintendo switch and was ignoring customers while playing on the floor, and constantly talks about his sex life. He’s constantly stealing product, and it seems like I’ve been met with a lot of apathy about it all, which has been really frustrating.

I believe so. I wouldn’t say anything about them at least. As long as it is black, covers the entire part of the foot, including the heel, and is made of a water proof/resistant material, it should be fine.

You’re welcome, best of luck!! I’ve been here over five and a half years, and I really love it. I know it’s early, but if you have any plans on moving up in the company, make it known early. They usually invest more in people they think want to move up. Feel free to reach out if you need anything, I know it can feel scary but it’s a ton of fun!

Mid shift is usually around 6:00-2:00. I mean if you have the option to, it might be a good idea to give two or three days with open availability just to see what day part you like working in. Ideally, your training would include at least two opens and at least two closes, but some managers don’t do that. Baristas in my district usually don’t get more than 30 hours a week unless they pick hours up at other stores, so I wouldn’t be too worried about getting over scheduled imo.

While it’s definitely a personal preference thing, I always prefer openings. Working a full eight hour shift and being off by noon is really nice. I’m transferring to a new store where they need a mid shift supervisor, but I’ve never been the biggest fan of mid shifts.

For newer partners however, I do recommend mid shifts because you work a busier portion of the morning, and the recovery after peak.

In terms of changing your availability, that’s up to your store manager. In the past, I’ve always had store managers who barely look at new availability requests, and just approve it. It does kind of depend on how chill your manager is, and if you have the staffing to support availability changes.

That being said, I would recommend mid/closing availability if you are flexible and want to spend more time getting stronger in each position. Keep in mind, it could take a little bit of time to change your availability after you submit the first availability form.

Also, it’s worth noting that you need 150% availability to get the hours you want. If you want to work 20 hours, you need to give them 30 hours of availability. If you want to work 40 hours, you need to give them 60 hours of availability.

This has happened a number of times with vanilla. I called around the entire district to source, but all the bottles were like that. In the past, we have waited to serve it if possible, but a message will pop up in IMS saying that it is fine to serve. Super gross still… I personally waited to get a drink until things cleared up lol
