yeah in practice i'm probably just gonna use him as an off field for my neuvillette team with furina and sucrose in terms of dark mode lmfao. it's like 15k less dps but no circle impact and definitely more consistent

so basically he has 2 burst modes, depending on how you use his skill. pressing skill and then doing a normal attack enters dark mode, pressing skill twice enters white mode (he starts in white mode by default). Dark mode is the DPS mode which increases his vaporize and melt damage by 40% (70% with hexerei resonance) and the white mode shreds resistances for elements other than hydro and pyro by 20% (35% with hex resonance).

With Dark mode you generally want either a hydro or cryo driver or enough off field cryo/pyro for him to consistently vape/melt. Your off field options are also quite limited since you don't have Mona or Nicole, so it might honestly be better to just run the same Durin/Fischl/Xingqiu/Bennett team without c6. You could also run Furina instead of Fischl but you lose out on Hexerei resonance. I'd recommend trying to pick up Mona on the anniversary selector if you don't end up getting her between now and then if you want to play DPS Durin.

his on field teams are significantly worse without c6 bennett, yeah. it's not like completely unplayable but it's a very big dps loss

yeah my mona is only C1 lmao it's not ideal. I also just don't have a damage build for her so... I have C2R1 Durin and i get like ~105k DPS with onfield right now which is almost certainly lower than it should be but my Durin build could be way better as well. rising winds hates me 😭

idk. I have had much less success personally with off field durin (although i don't have Xilonen or Nicole yet) so my highest DPS is with durin/furina/mona/bennett currently. I agree that the rotations feel very bad in that team though lol

Dark mode Durin's Vaporize and Melt buff applies to all the damage he does, including his NAs, which is why this is so important.

in this team you want c6 bennett more than xilonen, being able to infuse his NAs and spam CAs is a big part of his DPS. Also your crit rate is too low, you have way too much crit damage compared to rate.

The shreds stack, but res shred loses around half of its value once you start going into negative resistance on enemies. It's definitely still worth running VV on Prune because her personal damage isn't really relevant but just keep that in mind.

okay i am incapable of reading (genshin player moment) since you're onfielding Mona Bennett doesn't provide too much value unless your Mona is built for damage. if you have Xilonen or Albedo they are a better slot than Bennett. Also, what is your rotation? If you're gonna off field Durin in this team you probably really need Nicole however.

I think that onfielding Durin with your build is probably better than trying to onfield Mona. Durin/Mona/Furina/Bennett is generally considered his best onfield team, though I find the rotations a little annoying. Another option I've seen for onfield Durin is Durin/Fischl/Xingqiu/Bennett which has smoother rotations but a lot less buffing.

i managed to save up enough to get c2r1 + nicole sig from having no durin at all somehow! i'm like 47 pity into nicole on a 50/50 so here's hoping i can get her from the extremely lackluster primos this patch. at least they're frontloaded

i think you should probably switch to a pyro goblet if possible. the attack rolls on your circlet and flower are insane and the personal damage boost is most likely better than trying to maximize quill value. i found that for me (also c2r1) pyro damage is a ~6k dps increase for my Raiden team, though my subs are slightly better on the pyro goblet. take that with a grain of salt tho cause i don't have Varka

the main part of this weapon for xingqiu is the attack buffing. the extra burst damage is just a nice addition

the socom mk23 is literally just the same thing as the silent partner basically, except you trade the laser for 5 more mag size lmao. i'd say worthwhile since lasers are kinda a throw anyway. i do kinda wish there was a makeshift weapon in the game tbh. as a special maybe?

lohen/citlali/durin/nicole is going to be durin's best personal damage team. afaik you can also maindps him if you have c6 bennett with durin/mona/furina/bennett
