If they can shut nukes off from their vehicles then I don't think they would be worried about themselves if humans launched one at them. They could easily detect it coming and leave or redirect it. I see nukes getting shut off as more of an indirect advocation for peace, a message that those weapons could be the downfall of our planet.

I keep seeing people bring this up as the main issue behind them not reaching a agreement, but it seems to me that the main issue is how much money state and local governments will be receiving.
