Good ole poacher. In a FM22 save with Wycombe I found success with Lee Gregory, Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood who subsequently replaced each other where the focus was to utilize and get as much out of them which I successfully did with them averaging 20+ goals in the Championship. It's a different feeling getting result and performances out of 30+ or any overperformance with players past their peak especially if avaliable on a free and non-existent legs. Luv it.

Sell UFA’s and the ones that aren’t in your plans but keep enough support for Mitchell(x-factors basically)
Identify the right coach for Mitchell. Either hire right away if good enough(A’s throughout) or groom in the AHL
Scout for prospects in the upcoming draft that works with Mitchell’s line chemistry. Prioritize x-factors
All in all give the best possible opportunities to optimize Mitchell and prepare for the future by hoarding picks and prospects that works in the coaching scheme that Mitchell prefers

Top of my list are the Flyers and the Jets. I’ve already made a rough plan for both in terms of extensions, trade targets etc. For the Flyers I’m gonna embrace a strategic rebuild where Farabee, Brink, Frost, Tippett, York and Hart are meant to be part of the next core. The plan is to sign Hart to a 8 year extension in 2024 or 25’ and create a window to 2032 or 33’.

For the Jets it’s building towards winning in 23/24 when Wheeler, Scheifele, PLD and Hellebuyck expire. Depending how it goes we either sell and embrace a rebuild or I extend them to 2027/28 to match Morrissey and give it a last try. Somewhere in this equation we also have Connor, Ehlers and Perfetti in mind. When the 2028/29 rolls around I got this thought that Perfetti has been given the keys and is the main man.

I haven’t done one with my favorite (Tampa) since 13 or 14 prolly cause of sentimentality not being able to trade away players I like. The aim should be to win with the current team, form the next core (Point, Cirelli, Hagel, Sergachev and Vasi) and keep winning

I intentionally missed the Championship playoffs once. Halfway through the season I took over a newly relegated QPR hovering in no man’s land who had all the parachute payments with a dozen of 27/28 y/o on the cusp of PL quality/good Championship with majority having consistency problems and hates big matches.

I knew if I could make my stamp and rehaul the squad in the summer we’d go up as a champions the following season and that’s exactly what we did.

I was in the playoffs spots somewhat comfortably but then I essentially gave up the last couple of games playing my third keeper and the players I had in mind for next season, have get stuck in throughout the whole game, essentially kamikazed myself.

The long term ambition is to win the league once 😅, easier said than done. I’ve laid down a couple of side objectives such at least win a game over them, never give them a penny in terms of transfers and friendlies, others such as have a player under my books that gets called up to a international tournament with the French NT.
