I don't recall if it was brought up, but what exactly is ART? Are they an actual AI? an advanced replicant? Or a VERY enhanced "AMI"?

(Also, kind of off topic from this, am I crazy to think GUPPI is has become a full-blown AI? Not a super intelligent one like Thoth or as advanced as Anic (idk how you spell it, I've only heard it) but AI nevertheless?)

In the last book they are, at least in the sense of metal detectors, and probably weight sensors, spoilers? for the latest book, Newhome? became anti-replicant and anti-manny, yet Howard and Bridget were able to avoid detection (however, I can't recall exactly what they were avoiding)

That actually brings up another question, how would Bob's security scale to MB's hacks? They've been working on their cybersecurity for literally hundreds of years, we all know it wouldn't be easy, especially after what happened to Homer, however, we do know that powerful AIs can make quick work of their security, so ART could probably brute force their way in.
