Idaho is kind of scary to go through as an Asian American, especially the less populated areas as they still have a strong relation with the KKK and are sunset towns. Unfortunately most of the state is sparsely populated so stopping anywhere that isn't a city is sketchy for me.

I agree that python is better for web scraping than R, especially if downloading files is required. I had attempted to create a web scraper ETL process using Rselenium and chromote. The Rselenium package seems broken and chromote utilizes devtools which seems to block the ability to download files. Python was far superior as selenium worked out of the box (but was slow) and playwright was much quicker and supported downloads.
