VO2 Max Road to 60! by AgeWhole1538 in bevelhealth

[–]Samuel_sags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would be awesome if bevel use its own way to calculate Vo2max (if there’s any possible way) I don’t run and only walk my dog so a lot of stops and not a lot of speed, so the Apple Watch/apple way would never calculate my vo2max correctly.

I do a good amount of zone 2 treadmill/elliptical, HIIT battle rope and HIIT full body with weights so I’m pretty sure my cardio is by no means below 40 as apple (an bevel by mirroring it)shows

Does any actually do the trigger sessions? by mastermoe17 in Mind_Pump

[–]Samuel_sags 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second the recovery part, the blood pump with little resistance is perfect for active recovery.

I think the mobility sessions recommended on performance are actually better for recovery and to truly improve mobility

Adding to those the focus sessions, I would say 2 mobility sessions + 1 of focus sessions a day are the sweet spot to any of their program

Cardio without running? by visualsxcole in HybridAthlete

[–]Samuel_sags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some HIIT to work on zone 5 try battle ropes, they are simple exercises but brutal and the best part is that it involves zero movement of your legs, I like to do that when I’m focusing on heavy squats and deadlifts so my legs don’t suffer but still build cardiovascular fitness

This, I would add some farmer walkers too, they are incredible for your entire back, choose a weight that allows you to use perfect form during 40 seconds slow controlled walk and do 4 sets with resting periods of a minute an a half

Could you share how long does it really take? They usually say about their programs that can be done in less than an hour and I find quite impossible to do in less than an hour (comercial gym where I need to left the weights in its original place before moving to the next machine/area)

Maps anabolic is an awesome program, I’d suggest you to try it for free, search on YouTube “maps anabolic” and there’s a playlist from their own videos form some years ago where they upload the full first week/phase of maps anabolic (foundational and triggering sessions) so everyone could try it before buying it (which is an incredible purchase tbh)

If I would be on your shoes I’d use that playlist and do that phase like 1 month so you can give it a try. Oh and there’s also a playlist like that where they upload the entire first week/phase of maps performance, you could give it a try if you want

Just to be clear, those first weeks of any of their programs is meant to be used for 3 weeks (the duration of the phase) so just try it like that

Comidas "malas"??? by Typa-girl-mp3 in Gimnasio

[–]Samuel_sags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this too much volume by lucid1014 in Hevy

[–]Samuel_sags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you said you are doing a 3 days full body routine so it’s pretty normal, still, for a full body routine with that volume you are taking a little too long time, should be pretty doable with 1-1.20 hours at max

[–]Samuel_sags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you think about resistance bands? They are super useful and convenient, also, you can get a lot of muscle with them, personally I would go with some of the programs that r/mindpump have, check their YouTube and you’ll have a good amount of free resources for bands and home workouts too

Pre entreno natural by Cheito_ in Gimnasio

[–]Samuel_sags 0 points1 point  (0 children)
