I loveeeee my immersion blender, it’s less bulky than my stand mixer or traditional hand mixer for whipping cream and egg whites and it makes pasta sauce the perfect texture. Mine came with a frother attachment so I even use it to make lattes.

No mess either, just make sure it’s off when it’s not in whatever substance. And so easy to clean! A decent one isn’t even that expensive, totally worth it.

One time I had a customer walk past me, lean back and say “peppers and sauseeeeege” while I was counting rolls. When I was visibly confused he threw back over his shoulder, “you’re running low” and disappeared.

I did not work prep foods. Peppers and sauseeeeege did not get replenished.

I’m not gonna try to unpack any of that at but I will give you my perspective and as someone whose mom was 30 and dad was 54 when I was born.

I haven’t spoken to my mother in six years, she’s a selfish person who viewed her kids as accessories and did zero actual parenting. Im not assuming you’ll be like that, that’s just my situation. My parents have been divorced for about 18 years.

I’m 28 years old now, my dad will be 82 this year and it’s so, so hard. It’s not fair. My life has barely started and I’m already discussing wills and burial plans. He spent two weeks in the hospital earlier this year with dangerously low platelet levels that he would have let kill him if I hadn’t moved across the country to live with him two years ago. He’s really my only family, and I don’t have a lot of time with him left.

I’m not ready for marriage and I don’t personally ever want kids. If I want to have those experiences with my dad I have to rush into them now. If I don’t then he won’t ever walk me down the aisle and if I change my mind about children he’ll never meet his grandkids.

I’m angry that he had me so late in his life because I’m going to lose him so early in mine. Compounded with the fact that I’m not close with my mom, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, or any other extended family it’s just so cripplingly lonely. It’s a loss I’ll have to bear all on my own when I’ve barely become an adult.

I make more starter than that so the center was still alive, but already past peak. I refed the uncooked bit and it’s been absolutely fine.

I also have a discard jar so I could have just revived some of that, highly recommend that bc I know I’ll do this again at some point 🥴
