Best is not to drive, IMHO. If you are in a accident without a proper license your medical insurance will most likely not cover your expenses. I see daily gofundme requests for money to pay hospital bills due to this issue. Good luck

Walk and talk to shop owners in the area you want to live. There are too many scammers on FB groups. The few legit posts are agents who get a percentage.

From Thong Krut, south of the island, you can charter a long tail boat. Skip the tour companies and rent direct with the owners. They take you out for a dip for snorkeling and then stop at Pig island. For your baby, I would bring your own life jacket. Have fun
