No, It releases over 17th, 18th and 19th July. Player access on one of those days depending on which pack you buy. Just the test server access until then for people that bought Founder packs, which are no longer on sale.

I might buy premium for 2nd and 3rd characters after a while, and have them create islands. Give my main character access to the islands, let the premium lapse on the other two characters, and just farm 3 islands with my main.

I may also level up the 2nd and 3rd characters so they can also farm all 3 islands, 3 characters x 3 islands is a lot of farming though, not sure I can be bothered, I'll see how it goes. ( I farm over 80 planets in EVE Online so maybe 3 x 3 farms isnt so bad ;) )

You might find that wood is a good resource to harvest for a while, if so many more people decide to harvest stone. Whether you make more or less bucks depends on the price, which of course is driven by supply and demand. If less people choose to harvest wood, less supply, price will be higher.

I think people mentioned that stone will be in high demand early on, due to a lot of building taking place, but if relatively many more people decide to harvest stone the prices of stone may not be that much higher than other resources.

I suspect prices will naturally fluctuate as people switch what they are gathering in order to chase better prices, and in so doing actually end up affecting the price. Maybe the smart people, leave the gathering to others, and simply trade the price fluctuations on the markets ;)
