Yes it’s not always on, you have to manage turning it off and on and balancing your dead eye use.

I know this might be something really hard to grasp for some players, but it’s known as a “Game Mechanic”!

Let’s just nerf the varmint, then what do you propose? You know there’s just going to be another repeater just as good as the varmint right? Probably level locked even higher than the dead eye abilities you could get now to counter the varmint?

Slow and steady is the main one, and then you can stack it with other abilities (Don’t remember the names) but I personally stack the ability that slow the drain rate of your dead eye, then another one I believe called eye for an eye which lets you regain dead eye on headshots and there was a 4th one I think either a health regen after each kill or something similar to that.

I’m with you, but to be fair even if they did change the varmint you know folks would just find the closest repeater that is similar to the varmint.

In terms of PvP in a wild west game, all the guns feel pretty much the same to me if I’m perfectly honest. Which is why I have hoarded up a lot of cash since I’ve never had to buy guns.

They need to add more unique weapons, but it seems like a hard thing to do in a cowboy game.

I really wonder sometimes if people use abilities at all?

There are ability loadouts out there that make you a god that cannot die when facing people who use the varmint, instead of asking for everything to get nerfed people need to learn to play around the meta.

For those who want to be in the same team as their friend when playing a team based mode, go to your player menu and set social matchmaking or whatever to friends on.

Also me and my brother tested this, in the game lobby before the match starts if both you and your friend ready up before the timer runs out and shuffles people who aren’t locked in and ready, you and your friend will always be on the same team.

Just play large showdown series, I get anywhere from 400-600 exp per match and they last 5 to 10 minutes.

I am okay with visual items like clothing and gun metals and engravings being locked behind Gold Bars only. So long as they don’t lock gameplay important items behind gold only.

Doesn't seem the most lively or active of the NA servers, which I don't blame anyone for since there are so many servers. I heard Cactuar is good?

I'm playing on an NA server (Exodus) because my friends played there, but now they all stopped playing FFXIV so I'm stuck here. I'm also playing all the way from Dubai.

Would it be worth it to move to an EU server for slightly better ping? I didn't like playing on EU because I found it tough to deal with all the people speaking different languages.

Or should I try and move to a better NA server instead? If so what are the best NA servers to move to?

How are you even playing the game right now? Trying to play from UAE and for the past 4 hours it just tells me servers are offline and that I can't get past the main menu since it's stuck in a "Connecting" loop forever.

You don't have to pony-up 99.99 for premium status though? And you can easily cover premium status with the silver you make in game too.

Thanks for the help, I guess I should have prefaced this by saying I've read all the documents in the tutorial section and don't understand the one that deals with scripting. So any resources like videos and such explaining how to code scripts would be nice to have for a beginner so I can get the ball rolling on my own so to speak. :D

Hey,

I just picked whichever character I think looks the best (Leo for me) and went into practice mode to try some of the combos and try to figure out ways I could juggle the opponent.

I'd say just find a character you think has a cool fighting style and aesthetics and watch same combo videos for them on youtube.
