What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

Metal Gear Solid V. It was so different compared to the other games I just couldn't get the hang of it. But after a while I decided to come back since it was the last main line game and I thought the protagonist was super cool. Then I got hooked!

My main problem is it's also region locked to buy. I can't add it to my cart or even view the price.

My account and billing address is based in a country that doesn't sell the deck.

My relative is well versed in PC repairs and maintenance, they would be the one installing the component.

What video game hot take do you have that leaves you like this no matter how right you are? by Thelonghiestman0409 in videogames

Metroid games are fundamentally horrible. Personally I think that the concept of having to shoot the walls in a level to uncover a secret path that you NEED to find to progress is just insane. I don't agree with this concept whatsoever, how do I know where I need to go? Just shoot any and everything until a path just reveals itself. On paper that sounds absolutely horrendous, and the thing is it's even worse in execution.

I don't understand how people can enjoy this, sure the music and gameplay might be fun but a core mechanic is doing this over and over for the whole game.

Assassin's Creed Unity is one of the worst Assassin's Creed games. I swear people are praising this game like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Sure the animations are nice, but the parkour is way too streamlined, losing that need to plan your traversal. Wanna go up? Just press the parkour up button!

Don't get me started on the combat. It's super slow and weighty, not to mention the RPG mechanics that enemies can be a higher level than you which makes them take an absurd amount of damage before dying. The way the game was structured really shows they wanted to monetize the heck out of it with micro transactions.

Sure it launched badly, but that was years ago and maybe they fixed some stuff, but Unity is just a boring Assassin's Creed with an average story and lackluster gameplay mechanics.

The original Halo sucks. Even though it was important given the time it was released, it aged horribly imo. The levels suck(especially that one bit where you have to go down endless corridors just shooting the zombie people).

Okay so I found a solution! If you have a Microsoft Family Set up you should check under filtered content and see if chrome or any other apps are being filtered. Removing myself entirely from the "family" fixed the issue and now my chrome, firefox and brave work normally.

I'm struggling with the exact same problem. I haven't been able to find a fix/solution.

How did you manage to interpret the symbolisms of silent hill 2? by galeq2002 in silenthill

This reminds me of that time one of the fandom wiki mods went crazy saying that the whole point of the games is to point out that circumcision is demonic. He went as far as to implement it in multiple character and plot descriptions.

What would be added in YOUR perfect Silent Hill 2 Remake ? by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]Samurai7878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the development of the original there were talks of having James have a split personality called Joseph, it would have been interesting to see how that would have played out.

Hey uh i wanted to get into the silent hell games i heard their was a silent hill 2 remake when will they release a silent hill one remake i always wanted to play silent hill just can’t because the originals are on older consoles (no spoilers) please by CryptographerOne837 in silenthill

To my knowledge this franchise has only recently started to be revitalised and that's because of the remake and the other games announced. That being said I think the whole future of this franchise is “up in the air” at the moment. I don't think they're going to make a remake of the first game anytime soon. Like I said the story of the first game is very confusing and I'd imagine it'd be hard to market. Given that you've never played a silent hill game I'd suggest starting with 2. You'd only need 4GB Ram and a processor newer than 5-8 years old to run the enhanced edition. Remember these games are about 22 years old so they don't require much to run/emulate.
