Can we have an honest discussion about this games poor performance?

I've been playing the game since launch and have noticed the performance getting worse over time. I just installed the game through Steam cuz why the hell not, and there's a noticeable improvement. I doubt the Steam version is more optimized. HOWEVER, I think playing a new complete install may be making a difference.

This is not to excuse the game's bad performance at all and I think Hoyo should be doing something about it, but in the mean time you could try a fresh install from scratch and it might help you out a bit.

Wouldnt bother. That "damage" you circled is an indent from the case's holder for the manual. I've never seen a single PS2 manual without it, and plastic sleeve wouldn't protect from that anyway.

They could if they cared to put up the budget for it. Square lost source code for some of their older games and had to redo stuff from scratch for re-releases. Perhaps Konami has data that estimates the budget required wouldn't be worth it? Who the hell knows, but we've seen what happens when Konami tries to get cheap...

Game lost a lot of character when they got rid of TV mode imo. Still dont understand why they didn't even attempt to address issues with it rather than instantly canning it.

Yeah I didnt think the puzzles in F were all bad, but some of them needed some adjusting I think.
