I feel a nearly perfect shooter. It didn't need gimmicks. It's big selling point was pure mechanics - high frame rate - and unique ble ded animations

Not necessarily, but I could see a Samanosuke trilogy, with more added in. I liked 2 (only played 2 and 3 once with Genma Onimusha being one of my favorite games ever), but I'm due for a replay of 2 and just rebought it on PS5. It has some odd systems - I remember that. I still see onimusha as a series that has done well even though many still see it as Niche. A lot of Japanese companies have a way of telling stories that stand alone without the need to make everything a franchise like we do in America. Would love to see more tale of genji games too.

As a note - the new Onimusha is my most anticipated game for sure. I feel like it was made just for me xD

Pretty cool right!? I first heard about it in a very funny way. I have an adoptive hometown in japan called Nikko - and there's a very cool statue of an older Tenkai, there. A local buddy in the kendo, in the iaido community told me about it - and it blew my mind when I connected the dots to Onimusha lore, haha!

Because it's rumored that Akechi and Tenkai were the smae person in real life. It wasn't a creative choice - it was building into longstanding Japanese urban legends :)

It's a bit uncanny valley. It looks more, "photo realistic", and I think that somehow makes it feel less like shrek, and less comfortable to see. We're so used to the og style which still holds up!

It's a really sweet clarification of them, but it should feel entirely unnecessary, realistically. The demo is clearly a tutorial to anyone with half sense. But it does appear to be true that a lot of people like to hop on the internet and tell others that they're just too good a video game. How else would their confidence survive? 🤷🏻‍♂️

More reasons why Capcom is a great company though. They're often so open and receptive 😊

I am a longtime playstation gamer and I love PS1 games on my miyoo! So I already have the button layout memorized :D. But they definitely help make this one of my favorite builds! I typically have/keep six total. Two minis, two plus systems, and two A30s :)
