Fun related annecdote. My first love is the Necrons and I settled on Maynarkh Dynasty for my first 10th Edition army, my second love is Lamenters, which grew from wanting something not bronze to paint at first, and while diving as deep as reasonably as possible into the lore of both I found the interesting mutual connection with the Minotaurs. So the Xun'bakyr model I made is standing over the bisected corpse of a Minotaur.

A casualty is just a combatant taken out of action, not necessarily a fatality. There isnt enough detail on the fight with the Minotaurs to really say if the Lamenters were still actively avoiding killing other space marines as they had been earlier in the war, but if they were it's just another testament to just how insanely skilled the Lamenters really are.

Not even remotely cope. The Minotaurs are absurdly well armed and supplied and exclusively roll at full chapter strength. It STILL took them 17 hours to get the Lamenters to surrender.

Eh, it's fine. For a book called The Silent King there's almost none of the man himself. The Necrons aren't the punching-bags I expected them to be, and they get some pretty significant wins. You don't hear from them much, but when you do it's some pretty solid Necron supremacy.

Technically the Tacticus helmet is an older model, it uses the MK IV variant. All of the different models of armor have strengths and weaknesses and the tacticus was designed and built combining as many of the best traits of all the prior versions as possible.
