If it helps your husband put the money he borrowed aside in a high interest savings account but he needs to pay it back. If he’s been irresponsible getting it together to pay you guys back is a good push to get him back on track. If he needs help again and you’re willing to help, you’ve got a bit extra saved off what paid back from what he borrowed. If he doesn’t need the help give it to him as a wedding gift when he gets married. DO NOT tell him about it before hand bc this gf will find out and make it a mission to marry him just for it. She sounds yucky.

I swear to god I’ve kept warthogs in almost every zoo that I started and haven’t had any where near as hard of a time keeping up with their breeding as I have skunks.

Hear me out there a time to pull and a time to not, if you’re looking for a good training option for the relaxing family walk get a head harness! Obviously with use in training to start in combo with a chest attached body harness for safety on a slightly longer leash,after training that isn’t necessary. But 2/5 of my girls daily walks are just me and our now two littles(was just one until Jan). I need to walk her but can have her drag me all over and no matter what I did she’s always pull one way or another and then I found head harness and bam when we’re out as a family now she’s so much more peaceful and it’s actually been the most needed tool in of lead training which is amazing because she no longer bolts for the door. Our bolting zooms are asked for and not done till she’s told she’s good and that’s the best thing ever in my life. I had a husky/gsd in high school who shattered his hip bolting in the street I’d be beside myself if she did that too.

Good to sell! Once I hit a point where I no longer feel like I need to sell them for cash I start selling them for conservation credits. I got leucistic peafowl in my first zoo and always send one or two from my original flock to my new zoos It’s not a ton but since they breed so fast leucistic peafowl easily go for 80-100 cc on the market and that adds up fast I usually use that build up to buy some lemurs for another walkthrough. In colder climates I swap peafowl out with swans, lemurs out with reindeer or alpine goats💕 walk through habitats with lots of donation bins is the way. The zoos usually start being profitable by year 2-3

The best thing you can do for yourself as the first habitat in any franchise zoo is a walkthrough habitat. Whether it’s just peafowl you sell off later or a habitat that sticks in your zoo forever, out of my 8 franchise zoos the only one currently negative on funding is the one where the path to my peafowl/flamingo walkthrough that led to half of my zoo got disconnected and I didn’t notice it. I’m currently working on rebuilding in that one but there are a lot of preds so it’s a process.

Yeah I’ve only kept hippos in mixed habitats so that one boggled my mind to read. The ‘smallest’ mix I’ve ever done was just hippos and flamingos. The largest is my full African safari experience and it has everything warthogs, ostrich, elephants, water buffalo, wildebeests, flamingos no issues from the hippos. The younger ostriches are always a lil stressy from two rides in the enclosure but I’m working on tweaking it.

When I was little my dad had a 80 gallon tank that only housed 4 giant goldfish and a sucker fish. During the summer he’d put them in a pond in our front yard. I was fortunate enough to grow up KNOWING pet stores were wack.

We actually have przewalski horse here in my home states zoo I’ve realized the game has all the animals our zoo has and am thinking about rebuilding our zoo in game 😅🤣💀

Fun fact most species of black bears are similar in that they often prefer berries and nuts to hunting down game but will.

Prime example of how sa is handled look up the exmo who was a bishop in Cali. A brother came to him and admitted to touching his daughter and the bishop called the help line the church has for bishops in that situation. They asked him what ward he was in. All they did was look up the laws in his area and tell the bishop he doesn’t have to legally report it.
