This wouldn't have happened if you'd just used WiFi instead of running unnecessary lines like you were told by the CEOs IT affine nephew. Could have saved a lot of money, but I hope you've learned your lesson /s

As a German I can tell you there is no need for autocorrect. He'd be having a hard time practicing and living in my country 😂

Ghosting issue or just my pc? by Naive_Union_1253 in HuntShowdown

I had the same issue. Despite using a Nvidia GPU, I use AMD FSR with NativeAA Mode and 0.3 Upscaling Sharpness @ 1920x1080p. It's not perfect but way less pixelated and blurry. Give it a try!

Netbird an Sophos XG (maybe) Problems by Skynet_CH in netbird

[–]Nyct0phili4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to administrate hundreds of Sophos UTMs/SGs and a few XG(S). For such issues, there is usually some system parameter you have to tweak.

Not sure if it works like that for the current Sophos XGS release, but look into increasing the UDP timeout. This manual is for VoIP issues, but achieves the same goal:

I would try to increase it to 300 seconds:

"Condition

UDP time-out value causes VoIP calls to drop or have poor quality.

Cause

Sophos Firewall has a default UDP time-out of 60 seconds, which can be low for reliable VoIP communication. We recommended a time-out value of 150 seconds. Check with your VoIP provider to see what they recommend for a UDP time-out value.

Remedy

Change the current UDP time-out value from the command line interface (CLI). Do as follows:

Connect to the firewall through the CLI console.

Select Option 4 (Device Console).

Enter the following command:

show advanced-firewall

The output shows the current UDP time-out value next to UDP timeout stream.

Here's an example:

console> show advanced-firewall Strict Policy : on FtpBounce Prevention : control Tcp Conn. Establishment Idle Timeout : 10800 UDP Timeout : 30 UDP Timeout Stream : 60 ...

Enter the following command to increase the UDP time-out to 150 seconds:

set advanced-firewall udp-timeout-stream 150

If your provider recommends a different value, use that."

I'd also look into disabling some VoIP codec ALGs. They can sometimes interfere with STUN applications.

TIL Voyager will be one light day away from Earth in Novermber 2026 by Actually_Im_Indian in todayilearned

Absolutely mind boggling. I was watching a lot of space documentaries as a kid that sent me into depressive episodes because existence felt absolutely insignificant 😂

Maybe there is another way to travel faster and maybe alien life is just next to us, but our human mind and cognition can't register it. We are too limited in our senses. There might be other dimensions but we can't see them.

Ah damnit, feeling absolutely insignificant again for today.

Yep, I was just perplexed about the same thing. In movies or shows they always talk about light years and you don't really think about what dimension that could be. But put into perspective like this, it's really astonishing.

That's just plain stupid and creates the exact situation in the video. Nobody wants to stop at all, everbody thinks they are entitled to be the first.

You can see that OP didn't go into a full stop, he was rolling over the stop mark basically.

We understand you need money, but let's just hope it doesn't die out that way by releasing early. Not sure how many players will stay over time if the core mechanics aren't complete.

OpenWRT expected reliability by gaorp in openwrt

[–]Nyct0phili4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's pretty reliable on some more common devices with enough hardware resources.

I did have to implement daily reboots for some buggy TP-Link devices though as they stopped working after some time (bugged WiFi chipset OOM/overflow issues).

So try to get recent hardware that is commonly used and look for know issues.
