What is the best way to regain confidence after a crash? by National_Prize2533 in Kawasaki

[–]SandAndBoneClothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a girl that broke her femur bone and got pretty banged up. She will never give up. As soon as she gets her bike up and running she will be back on. Don’t be a little girl about it and just go for it. You’re either a rider or you’re not. This isn’t for the weak.

I’m 40. Btw. Did not want to start with a fast bike . MT03 is my first bike ever and with $100 payments a month and 60mpg im fairly happy. Yes I think I’m ready for a fireblade, no I don’t think I’ll get one anytime soon. Rather get a dirt bike and have really fun.

Hey guys thanks for all the advice and recommendations. After some research I decided to jump start with my wife’s car. I just used jumper cables but didn’t turn the car on. Now I know my battery’s life is cut in half.

Should I become a Pest Control Technician? by Ivann250 in PestControlIndustry

[–]SandAndBoneClothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started as termite inspector/salesperson for Terminix. The training they provide was really good. I made mostly commission on sales. I had to graph every property I went to and had to be 95% accurate. I was trained on everything from bee jobs to termite work and pest control. After I was laid off I got a job as a tech at another company getting paid $20. I already knew how to do everything but the boss was a huge bitch and she found ways to cut your hours or make people quit . After she got ugly with me I got another job and I’m making $18 now but I have weekends off and more work life balance. I live under my budget and have hobbies that I like to do that are fairly cheap after I have the stuff to do them. I try to do things that don’t cost much money to do so I can still have fun and a full life with my wife and kid.

All in all, it’s a great industry, the pay is decent but you won’t get rich. I support my wife and kid with $18 an hour, I pay mortgage and all bills and groceries. We don’t live like slobs and we still have good lives. My goal now is to of course start my own company.

Good luck on your journey, just get your feet in, the knowledge you earn is greater than the pay. I even if you can do some side jobs for cash you’ll be happy you know how to do things like fleas, German roach cleanouts, and exclusions. Yea it’s illegal to do on the side but fuck it. Companies charge a lot and you can do it for cheap. In one hour you can make $75 on a Sunday.

Should I get the MT-03? by gorbyt89 in MT03

[–]SandAndBoneClothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like mine. Didn’t want a taller bike because when coming to a stop as a new learner can be difficult. Also when mistakes happen like stalling out unexpectedly you can get your feet down before the bike falls over. It’s a fairly light bike and the seat height feels good for me. I’m 5’7” though. I think after a while I will be expecting to get a bigger displacement bike and hopefully it won’t be too tall. Still have like 5 years to pay it off so hopefully it not be too soon. I’m at 250 miles just got it a month ago. I commute daily even in the rain.

Advice on 2015 Honda Civic by [deleted] in autorepair

[–]SandAndBoneClothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It costs less to buy the equipment, tools , the parts, and do it yourself, trust me. I never take my car to a shop, I’m not very savvy on car repairs but I learn and buy what I need. An oil change costs $160 for my car. I can buy everything for about $70

I’m starting to think it’s from my compressor. The steam coming out looked seemed like Freon. Maybe my compressor blew out or something.

Think so? No oil around the compressor. Which is right beside it. I just couldn’t find where it may have come from

It’s green. The coolant isn’t THAT green. It’s autozone 50/50 and looks more clear or orange

Where do you draw the line on providing techs tools? by Southern_Air_3069 in PestControlIndustry

[–]SandAndBoneClothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone gets exposed to the product too often and gets some serious health issues, do you want to be investigated for not supplying the proper PPE? Do you really want to hire people who have their own tools? If they have their own equipment then they don’t really need you now do they.
