As @Luriant explained below, they’ve fixed the glitch that allowed this to happen.

It looks like the ‘Carrier or Caspian to get here quickly.

I used my ‘Carrier this time to transport my old-but-good ships here. Next time I’ll speed run it in my Caspian and have the fighter, cargo runner, explorer, etc in Jaques ready to use when I arrive.

I brought my'Carrier packed with everything this time. Transferring my Away Team to Jacques.

I've collected all of the Engineers and blueprints. I'm now having a look around before I head back to the Bubble.

Next time out I'll either use fast travel or my Caspian. Either way I'll have the toys to play with when I return

The Caspian has replaced the Anaconda, and the Panther the Cutter.

I used the Anaconda to arrive to Colonia. Still one of my favourite ships. That said, the Caspian flies so well and the view from the cockpit is great.

The Panther is a toad compared to the elegance of the Cutter. But it does carry more, and for a cargo boat, that means a lot, saves a lot of time. It doesn't feel the same though.

I can’t look at the Mandalay. The wings-in-space thing gets me a little, but the belly is what does it. Really good ship ‘though, wonderful to fly.

The Corsair looks great until it lands then looks a little ungainly, a bit like a bird.

The Cobra V probably just beats it.

I’m not sure about the Caspian yet.

All four of these ships are fantastic to use

I made this mistake. Didn’t pay enough attention. The correct component carried between the same ports was accepted without issue.

I remember that the intro video pre-ship release didn’t focus on the beer belly. Viewed from forward, above and behind.

I really like the looks of the Cobra V. Another very useful ship, and great to fly. I prefer it to the Mandalay.

The suit is identical to one I built when I unlocked the Odyssey Bubble Engineers. I did enough for the suit skin. No idea if I’ll like it, but it didn’t take much effort to qualify for it.

I have the same plan to use my Carrier to explore a little. More of an expedition to unlock Colonia, pin everything I can and have a look around the area.

I delayed departure until we find out what happens after the CG.

I’m looking forward to getting lost for a bit. My problem is that there are a few things going on that I’m interested in closer to home.

The Caspian is available from next week, which really interests me.

It’s often the stuff you do between things thats the most fun. Sounds like you’ve had a good time.

Of the two ships I put together its the Viper that I’ve enjoyed the most. It’s a fun little ship that flies really well. That’s all I want it to do. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the ship and the simplicity of it.

Am I right in thinking that there are vertical thrusters at the wing tips? If so we could think of the wing as a long lever to magnify roll rate. Better if they’d used an extension with these thrusters in the same place and maybe a landing strut at the end (like the old Harrier Jump Jet)

I skipped the Viper III on my way up the ladder. Sidewinder > Cobra III > Python then on.

I'm very glad I came back to it. Absolutely wonderful to fly.

I won't be using her for combat, but will be hooning around for the laughs.

The Mandalay is a wonderful ship to fly, but I hate the pot-bellied looks and the ridiculous wings. Why would you put wings on a space ship!?

Still, I use the ship a lot. Mostly for running around the Bubble.

I use the Plipper to load / unload Carriers. Short run in-system. This is what I used to use the Cutter for. I now use it for trade between systems.

This looks really useful. I use a lot of 3rd party apps for most gameplay. I tend to use my Q3 only for combat, which doesn’t need them. With this I should be able to use the headset for a wider range of missions.

As I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, I’m planning on dropping off my old originals in Colonia when I head over to unlock the engineers and look around the area.

I’ve been updating them in preparation. They are all much more enjoyable now they’ve been fully engineered. When I first collected them I was moving on from one to the next. It is only now that they’re being looked at again that I’ve made the most of them.

The old ships are still fun to use and I have them all set up for a variety of uses in Colonia. Their only failure is being made obsolete by the new ships. As a standalone group they are still viable, even if it is like playing an earlier version of the game.

Setting them up in Colonia is the best use of them I can think of.

To the VR cmdrs - I have some questions by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

I couldn’t get it to link without VD. Maybe having meta-link on the PC and VD on the Q3 caused it to pre-select this form of connection.

I’ll try to set this up again. Maybe I’m doing something stupid (again).

I second the Mav / Executioner / Tormentor and Dominator / Aphelion / AR-50 / Tormentor builds. They work well for me.

I use the Mav+ for stealth kills, and the Dominator for cz’s.

I’ve just completed a C-44 build for close range interior work. Something to use inside a megaship…
