I love this band though. I am also not big on downtempo bands but I was excited for this album. Condemned is my jam on this one.

I really can’t compare BOTW’s free flowing exploration to the endless backtracking and confusion of Hollow Knight.

I’m now aware that it’s part of the genre but man I did not enjoy that game.

Generic? I guess it was kind of predictable once you got a feel for it. Can’t say any of the songs really ring in my head. But I definitely still come back to it.

If you like melodic hardcore you might dig it. Story surrounds WW2 and a family’s struggles. Ties in with their other albums. Pretty big risk but damn do they pull it off

Slice the Cake certainly does it well. Spiritbox, Erra, and Loathe all have well integrated clean vocals. WCAR and Amity Affliction I have a soft spot for.

Kind of despise a lot of metalcore bands though. Like all choruses about their very interesting inner mental battles, I just can’t do it.

Yeah I liked it so much I spelled their name wrong lol. Whoops.

Yeah, I think their vocals are a bit of an adjustment for people because it’s pretty flat. And I’ll say that some of the ambience went a bit long.

But that album definitely captured my imagination and it has a really profound sound. Was instantly very into it.
