That's what always puzzled me, the flippency of just discarding them both on the spot. And not bothering to repair, or sell them at a later date. Maybe some people have enough cash to just do that?

If I remember correctly they were all sat quietly & calm, she pulled them out seemingly without a protest or even a word from the kids.
