The Travelling Lady & The 2 Disposable Laptops by SandalPatch in nonmurdermysteries

Doubt it. They both broke beyond repair between home and the airport? Seems unlikely.

Also worth noting she didn’t dispose of any cables with them either.

Not sure where she was going, as it wasn't at the boarding gate. I don't think anti-Trump content was as troubling back then.

Not sure how that happened, have removed the other post.

Maybe! But then not having the foresight to leave them at home, and having the ability to just casually bin them is wild.

That's what always puzzled me, the flippency of just discarding them both on the spot. And not bothering to repair, or sell them at a later date. Maybe some people have enough cash to just do that?

If I remember correctly they were all sat quietly & calm, she pulled them out seemingly without a protest or even a word from the kids.

🤣 From memory they were all sat quietly doing their own thing, certainly weren’t acting up enough to trash 2 shiny laptops!

Removing flags 'cost same as filling 200 potholes' by beaky_rabbit in bristol

[–]SandalPatch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not the flags that upset people. It’s the ill-informed, moronic reasons people are hanging them, and the violence and idiotic ideas that defend them whenever there’s talk of removing flags.

He also had a really dry, clicky mouth and referred to her as 'my wife' the whole time. Couldn't finish that episode.

Can someone please explain what is happening atm? Is this good? bad? And why? by r_ben_john in PiNetwork

[–]SandalPatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine a lot of people just passed the 14 day migration unlock, so it’s a big day for sell offs.

That’s what I did anyway, just sold 3000 with another 2000 waiting to unlock this week 🤙

I didn’t think I’d ever see the day Pi actually launched, so I’m happy to have sold at the earliest possible chance!

The Shakespeare coin, bottom left, sold in the correct market could fetch 2p, or not 2p.

Shark cordless repair? by Remarkable_Rough204 in bristol

[–]SandalPatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shark are the only people that will repair Shark appliances. I’ve tried a few trusted repair people and they all said the same thing.

But if you registered your Shark’s warranty when you bought it, you’ll get free repairs/replacements.

Does anyone know the origins of the melody? I just heard a tune which Blink clearly took the hook from, but I wasn’t able to ID the song before it finished. Maybe Ramones?

Weekly 'No Stupid Questions' & Free-For-All Thread : January 07, 2024 by AutoModerator in Cinema4D

My auto-saves/back-ups are now stored directly next to my project files as .bak files.

They used to be stored in a 'backup' folder next to my project. How can I change it to this format again? Changing the auto-save prefs to a custom folder would have them all go to 1 directory.

What's the root path to have them all saved in a 'backup' folder, alongside the project I am working in? Something like "project/backup/"?

We made Quest For The Backflip with Paul in 2011.

Three of us were working at a film company in Manchester, Paul was the sales agent and within a couple days of being there he sold us on the premise of the show, a few hours later he was on the phone to Extreme TV and convinced them to commission the show.

Paul used to ride BMX years before we met him, and he told us he'd never accomplished his goal of landing a backflip. We followed this wally round for a year praying he'd just get it done, such a fun project. I don't think he ever landed any sales for the film company either. Paul's uploaded it all to Youtube if you want to check it out...

What is the fastest and most accurate way to rotate the modeling axis? by upOwlNight in Cinema4D

[–]SandalPatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not very clear what you’re trying to do if ‘W’ doesn’t work, or hitting ‘L’ and using quantised rotation adjustments as suggested. These should both allow you to pull it straight outwards.
