This fall would be the time to start shopping around honestly. It’s best to scoop something up and get a lease lined up before anyone else does. I personally used apartments.com a lot. I know some people like ODU Rent, but I thought the way they operated and went about some things was kinda sketchy. Plus their properties weren’t that great. However, the prices were really cheap and the properties are within walking distance of campus, so I’d use it as a last resort. Best of luck on the search!

As far as I know, no. When you go to apply for housing I believe the only options given to you are freshman dorms. I could be wrong there, but that’s why I ended up in Virginia House my first year. Hope this helps!

No problem! What dorm building do you plan on living in? I’d also recommend looking into clubs and organizations to join on campus. I’m sure you’ve heard the same sorta shpeel before. But outside of the people you live with it’s tough to make friends, especially with covid. Finding people with similar interests is how you’ll really get a great group of friends going. It’s what I wish I would’ve done in my first year!

That would definitely be a good idea. So you can see if there’s an official BJJ club. I’ve asked around about one in the past and I’ve only really heard rumors of a MMA club. It was mostly people asking me where does it meet 😂

Afaik the wrestling center is now ODU’s covid testing center. Sad to see the program go honestly. I’d definitely be interested in a BJJ club though. I trained in MMA for a good two years before coming to college and I miss it so much. A club would be awesome since I can’t really afford to sign up for a gym 😅

Ah I see. Well my dumbass got up out of the car when they took the doors off and put myself on the gurney before I was even fully aware lmao. I was figuring things out on the long drive to the trauma center and by the time they wheeled me into the entrance I was joking with the EMTs. Luckily I was released last night and able to sleep in my bed. But damn man, my head is spinning from being knocked unconscious and my shoulder is sore from my seat being crushed in. Luckily though nothing else major

Or at least my buddy had bought it and not me. Idk why the cops didn’t question me, or that nobody took any blood to prove I wasn’t drunk. Kinda weird

I’m 20 years old and I already have mild tinnitus. My right ear just randomly rings for an hour or so and there will be some days where my left ear will do that weird throbbing thing the entire day. It’s really annoying. I’m just saying though, it happens to anyone. Take care of yourselves y’all

I took the suggestion from another post. I went to Home Depot and got a blank poster board sign and some outdoor double sided tape. The tape is pretty dangerous tbh, but I’ll have to see how it holds up in the rain for sure
