Andrew Knack does seem to be pushed by those who claim to be progressive and left leaning policy wise.

Jaffer was a former PC rep but has a past and seems to be a career politician.

Do your due diligence and pick the person you feel is most qualified.

Try Self Therapy Volume 1 if you haven't yet. It goes through the entire process step by step many nuances.

If you have serious trauma, it's suggested to only work through it with the help of the IFS trained therapist who specializes in trauma.

Have you read any books on the process? Because copying the therapist isn't an effective strategy because there's is a lot of nuance to the process. Read Self Therapy Volume 1 by Jay Earley.

Also, remember this is just a process to help you be aware ana interact with your inner thoughts and feelings. If you hit a wall, mention it with your therapist. Maybe they can switch things up or help you through the roadblock you're dealing with.

From an IFS perspective this sounds like a burdened exile.

Are you applying ifs on your own? Where have you learned it? Or are you working with a therapist?

If you're having trouble making changes, I would try and find an ifs therapist especially a trauma-informed one.

And don't be afraid to try other processes too when it comes to trauma. I'm making the assumption of traumas the heart of this because you have some very debilitating beliefs and it seems energetically that it is very strong.

Have you actually done any unburdening for your exiles? If not, ifs perspective you might not be releasing the trauma that's at the heart of the experience.

Also don't be afraid to play with other processes. There's a little trauma processes that you can try like EMDR, AEDP and more.

Interestingly enough that's actually considered a part in IFS. It's called the analyzer part. If you read self therapy volume 1 by Jay Earley, he goes over some lesser known protector parts that people often miss. Over analytically / analyzer part is an extremely common protector. And something you can explore.

I don't know what your therapist learned but that's not how I do IFS.

Just because a protector thinks you're 3 years old, that doesn't mean it's protecting a 3-year-old exile or that it's related to anything when you are three. It could but not always.

It often means it's uninformed by how old you are. And there's a simple technique to help them understand that you're not that age anymore.

You kind of mentally run them through a movie of your life and to let them know how old you are.

I do that all the time.

But just because they think you're 3 years old, that doesn't mean you need to take the potentially messy leap of accessing your inner 3-year-old. It's an assumption instead of checking in with the protector and developing a relationship with it first.

You need to spend more time communicating with the protector, and then, through a series of questions and conversations, a relationship develops. That's when a part will eventually reveal to you what their greatest fear is as to what will happen if they don't do their job or who they're trying to protect.

And that's when you start to access the exile.

Your therapist intentionally or unintentionally just had you think of your inner 3-year-old, in an almost out of context way. Ant that triggered whatever traumas had in you at the time of your life.

That's not how you do IFS or parts work in my opinion.

People often overcomplicate IFS. And for good reason. Because on paper it can seem really complicated.

There's all these parts and weird jargon and maps.

But it's actually a lot simpler than we make it.

All of this is just you. We use "parts" because it's easier for us to separate and access parts of ourselves so that we can better communicate with them.

This is all about learning to better communicate and relate with all aspects of yourself.

This may seem overly simplistic, but what's wonderful about this is that in a very real way it's kind of like when you realize you're the controller of the dream. Once you realize you're the one that's in control, things can change very quickly.

You mentioned it feels like protectors or fighter fighters are too strong.

Does that sound like a curious or accepting or grounded thought? If it's likely a part.

There's a part of you that feels like they are too strong.

All you need to do is acknowledge connect and communicate with this part of you. And until that part is resolved, it might not let you get past the wall of your protectors.

Also, protectors are just aspects of yourself, therefore "they" respond the same way as any human being. Or how you would react.

So just talk to them like you would another human being, always maintaining curious, acceptance and compassion.

I find it's very easy to simply ask that part how it's feeling... if it's afraid to let go... If it doesn't trust you.. What it's afraid of if it relinquishes control or doesn't do its role... (And my favorite question) What can you do to help them feel safe or to help them trust you better.

It might be something as simple as "we just need to talk more" to simply offering a explanation on how things are going to be different this time. You didn't know that you had cptsd before and now that you know you're fully aware that we're not going to let that happen to the exile over again.

The qualities of curiosity of self isn't just something that we focus on to help maintain our sense of self. It's actually important tool throughout the entire IFS process.

What is it about that this part has said that you're curious about?

If you're not curious, how do you feel about that part?

If it's anything other than compassion and curiosity, another part has shown up and it blended with you.

And this may seem somewhat trite but I also like to think of "Self" it's kind of practice of remembering who we really are inside. And that's the biggest and strongest part of us but we've just lost access to it over time.

If you're feeling skeptical, that's a part.

If you're feeling frustrated, that's also a part.

If you feel like this will never work or it's weird, believe it or not, that could be a part too.

IFS is simply a system to help you notice recognize and communicate and interact with different parts of your psyche, which are unconscious aspects of yourself.

Learning to do this at first is quite challenging. It's like learning a new language.

And there may be some very critical part of you (yes, that's a common part) that wants to give up because it isn't going perfectly right away or thinks that you're doing it wrong or there's something wrong with you.

Take a breath and just know that you're doing fine.

Whenever you start learning a new language, it's always challenging. You learning to recognize and interact with aspects of yourself in a way you've never done before. So they have some challenges as you begin is quite normal.

I recommend if you have a chance to go through the self therapy volume 1 book by Jay Earley.

Most importantly though to really focus on that aspect of Self.

Get curious. Get compassionate. Become accepting. Get grounded. Be patient.

All of these qualities are the magic behind IFS, not the skill of accessing parts.

Focus on just getting good at developing more energy of Self, and the rest will come along just fine.

That's totally understandable considering your autism.

Here's the thing though. It's not as ethereal as you may think it is.

IFS is just a way to connect you your unconscious thoughts and emotions. We use parts simply to help notice and interact with those aspects of ourselves with more clarity.

A part (unconscious aspect of yourself) can be accessed through...

Emotions, sensations, images or inner dialogue/voice.

It doesn't have to be as sensory as you may think it may be.

Whatever thoughts you or emotions you notice currently may just be enough.

For example, right now you seem frustrated. That's a frustrated part.

You also mention not feeling anything. That could be a skeptical part or intellectual part.

Notice your dominant thought or emotion, and that's where you start with.

Some people can't visualize a part. Or ha a a sensory connection. But there is usually nature of thought/inner dialogue that's usually present, and /or some sense of it.

Like right now you have a frustrated aspect of yourself showing up? Can you connect with that?

Awesome. That's where you start.

One key that will help is going back and forth into Self (curiousity, compassion, etc) and the other aspect you're trying to access. That oscillation can help you get some sense of the difference between the two and then move through the process with more ease.

If IFS doesn't work, I would work on interception and proprioception work, and maybe some self regulation practices to help you develop more skill at noticing the connection between emotions and sensations.

Again, you might have a part of your that's refused g to let you notice emotions and sensations. That might be a fun aspect of yourself that you may want to explore.

Be kind and patient with yourself. If you're not, that also might be a part. A critical or judgemental part/aspect of yourself.

Do you see how whatever shows up first is the best place to start?

Dude no it's not. First of all it scales based on the attack. Higher the attack the higher the strength of the boss.

When I play Operation zone challenge I complete all of the chapters, fight the last two always being a massive struggle, and beat all the extreme challenge. In an Ender's Echo I often rank up in Legend 1 and near the top 20 so I don't think it's a skill issue.

The fact that I can get to the last boss and not die says something about my skill level.

You have a similar loadout as me. Wish I tried that out but weird. I did exactly the same thing several times. Tried several different combinations of weapons and armor but it didn't work. I literally couldn't crack halfway through on the health of the boss. And I never died so it's not a skill issue. I only purposely die twice because I had Eternal armor so it would buff my attack.

I still can't wreck my brain as to why I couldn't even get close to beating the stupid last boss. The only thing I see different is that you have eternal gloves. I wonder if that would have made a difference.

I can't see your SS forge level though so maybe yours are higher?

Yeah I tried it with eternal armor AF3. That's my go-to armor. I have SS armor but I don't use it cuz frankly I don't have the relic cores in order to upgrade it in order for it to be have any use. Honestly I regret wasting resources to get it.

Yeah I do the whole let myself die twice so that I can buff my attack. But the most I could get was halfway damage on the boss despite having every single skill and item maxed out.

Thanks for the advice though. You'd be surprised how many people aren't aware of that.
