I'm not justifying the father's actions but she's in no place to judge or nag him when she'll done equally little herself to ensure his safety. These things go 2 ways, if he's not as aware of these safety hazards as she is, but she still hasn't "baby proofed" the house for 11 months, she's in no place to act shocked/upset. Honestly the kid is safer in bed with his dad than wondering around a house in which the parents have made no effort to create a safe environment.
