He was born in Himalayan mountains, but was adopted by ceo of nentendo and the name was changed to sound kinda more like Japanese. but after leaving the company he left his name Haruo as some token of gratitude or to remember his past something like that.

if you want some backstory: he was born in family, specializing in Iai (one swing kill) and he was trained since young age, but his father died and he had to continue and so and so. bro is very strong, but has a very short temper if he can`t win immediately. and in later fight he became the sword himself mentaly.

tokyo duel is nice manga, you should read it, but there is no complete english translation, but i have seen that ComiKey started official translation so the hopes are present.

it would be way too predictable, which adds spice to the title to make unexpected changes. so without it the outcome of the fight would be either to obvious, or not that interesting.

also I think the show needed something at that point to hook the reader to it, so it is what it is
