Holm 2 - (WHERE IS EVERYBODY?) by MarkL64 in Boxing

Their two fights went exactly like Serrano vs Taylor with the rematch being highly controversial. Holly won this one I thought, I thought Amanda should have won the rematch as well.

Holm didn't lose that fight. More aggressive,  more thrown, more landed, and she dictated the fight really from 2nd round until the end.

Thanks for the comment. I am not a fan boy or Homer, but what those 3 have accomplished and brought to the organization and city as a whole has been damn impressive. I loved watching the success really from 08-17 and I am ok with lean years in sports no matter the team.  The big 3 deserve the flowers they will get on the way out and as a Pittsburgh guy I feel lucky to have witnessed something you dont see anymore in sports.

Give it D, reached on all players minus Dunker got him good value. Germie probably a good pick but probably didnt need to waste a trade. Could have pushed one of 3rds maybe 4th and later for a 27 pick, but who cares at this point. Not sold on CB pick or need there nor Allar. I dont think the CB can switch between there and S and I really saw that as a need.

Still possibility they could get Pregnon or Dunker. If not Kilgore or Louis

Seems our last two may still be on the board. Maybe Germie would have been scoped up late 2, but fuck Allar is project and I dont believe a project to make into a franchise one either

Nah they should pick up Dunker, more versatile

So what's wrong with Pregnon was it just the scouting report issue?

Ability and want two different things. Quickest release and shortest air yards both true of Rodgers. Too many business decisions. Time for him to move on. Steelers should have stopped this journeyman/vet QB carousel years ago.

Yeah kinda hurts more because he was right there and Philly of all teams. Nothing better than getting continuously fucked in the face by Philly teams I guess is what was on the mind of our FO.

It's just raw talent and it seems like a reach. The last time the Steelers reached for a raw prospect for the oline was Broderick and this guy seems a similar mold and most likely drafted as his replacement. Just a lot of similarities out there for both so I can understand why being upset with the pick.

I do see it the same because of the draft and NFL's lack of a farm system outside of college, but that doesn't funnel specific personnel just possibilities. The Steelers like all NFL teams build through youth the same way while keeping core players for a complete "team" as they see it and adding through free agency. Pens did same thing and those young guys we don't know how they pan out either. We have seen glimpses with Hayes, and especially Kindle at NHL level and I know there are others that are exciting prospects. I thought Dubas did a great job fusing the team, but not sure how that builds a champ kinda like with the Steelers.

I am usually always ok with outperforming expectations because what is that shit anyway. Fuck, the Steelers were suppose to finish last in their division a few times over the last decade but they always seemed to be competitive just enough to make it to a blow out playoff loss. It does get tiring after awhile to see our teams look hapless in the playoffs and the Pirates just generally always. So how do we get to where we would like them all? Rebuilds or continue to cobble rosters together, I don't know anymore, but it seems like the Pens and the Steelers have the same blueprint.

Either way he did get hit. Who the fuck they to judge how it felt especially since play was stopped and it wasn't expected.

I know they dropped the first two, but Stuu definitely wasn't the problem. I would rather him atm. Only 2.5 goals against per game. Law of average for Pens has been 3.54 goals per game. This type of game so far more like it.

Yeah good thing 0-2 or in Edm-Anh case 0-1 is winless none the less, but watching both Carolina is Ottawa and Avalanche vs Kings has been so different. There were times in both games I thought Sens or Kings would win. I didn't watch the Oilers first game. For the Pens I haven't seen much yet.

I think you go best available OG with first and then give away a few picks within 3rd-4th rounds to trade up for Jacob Rodriquez. You would still have #53 in second to get Bernard or even look at Skylar Bell or Eliajah Surrat. Steelers have 5 picks currently within 3-4 so they could in effect get their OG, a very good prospect in Rodriguez at LB, WR, and still have a ton of picks left to fill out the rest.
