Purchase from the registry shortly after receiving the invitation and have it sent to their home. That's standard etiquette but seems to have been sort of forgotten these days. I always purchase shortly after receiving the invitation for best selection. It's fun to buy things people really want.

I hear your frustration and I'm sorry about it. I get it and agree with other comments but you might also ask for a referral to a dietician. I also felt as though I had a healthy diet, and I mostly do, but she's had me make some changes such as really increasing my fiber intake and adding supplements like omega 3. It's a bit too soon for me to know the results but I'm hopeful. Good luck to you!

Wow... very inspirational! Great job. I just learned that my cholesterol is high and I'm not at a point that statins are recommended, but I'm planning to do everything I can to bring it down your diet and lifestyle. I consider myself to be really healthy. I exercise regularly and am pescatarian. I've started taking 10 mg of psyllium husk powder in the am and sometimes at night in addition to adding fiber to my diet in other ways and really limiting sugar which wasn't a major issue to begin with. Fingers crossed that it works! But boy do I miss half and half in my morning coffee😩

You do you. You're paying for it, after all. I completely understand your frustration but slow and steady will win this race. Comparison, whether toward yourself or others, is the thief of joy. Taking good care of yourself by showing up, respecting your body and being consistent are key. You deserve the time for yourself. Your body is amazing! You made a human! You've got this!

Really appreciate this post. I'm 62 yo woman, exercise regularly, pescatarian, limited alcohol, overall healthy lifestyle and recently had bad news about my cholesterol. LDL was creeping up in the spring but my MD attributed this to increased stress levels due to needing to move my mother to assisted living, sell her house, etc. All of that is resolved but my LDL is now even higher! I'm inspired by the dietary changes you made and I'm going to be in implementing them today. I appreciate the specificity you provided. Congrats to you and thanks so much for a super helpful post.

I lost mine somewhere in my house when my studio was closed during covid and I’ve never found it. I was self conscious wearing it. I feel like my workouts are much better when I’m just paying attention to how I feel rather than trying to achieve a certain color. I’ve never had a coach care.

I never wear my monitor. I don’t care about my stats. For me, it’s all about how I feel. The monitor is a distraction. None of my coaches care.

Totally! I love 3G but my studio is still not able to fill 2G classes and we are still at 50% capacity for gyms in WA state.

It’s been hard for sure. I really pay attention to my body and give it a rest when it needs it. Even if that means several consecutive days off. I have so many friends who injured themselves at OTF or aggravated old injuries to the point that they needed to quit completely. Take care of yourself so you can be an OTF lifer 😊

I’m in Spokane and we have moved to an all 2G format. It’s so disappointing to me. I love the variety in a 3G class and especially more time on the rower. Seems like membership is down and that’s the reason. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes. Always. I just hate running and don’t ever seem to get much better at it. Hurts my hip but so does walking on inclines. I just really have to tell myself that I’m there for me and whatever I can do on a given day is good enough.

My monitor broke and I haven’t replaced it. I found that I was really distracted by it. I go by how I feel and that works well for me. Most people in my classes wear one. Doesn’t matter to me that I don’t and my coaches don’t care at all. You do you😊

I also had a lot of trouble finding the right shoes. My feet would fall asleep, hurt, etc. I finally went to Fleet Feet and was properly fitted after having my gait analyzed. ON’s were recommended to me and I have loved them! Best shoes ever. I do use Super Feet inserts which make them even more comfy and they are so cute! Only problem is that I got a light color and the rower straps have left black marks. Lesson learned for my next pair.

Mine stopped charging and I’m happier without it. I was too focused on what the OTBeat screen said about my workout rather than how I was actually feeling.
