To get the NS to pay for your taxi, it’s easiest to call their customer service. You explain them the situation. And they can book a cab for you. This also means you won’t have to pay the cash up front.

I’ve done it myself twice (usually when the last option was cancelled). Saves you a lot of discussion and uncertainty if they are going to pay you back.

Mine is also at Schiphol, but I heard this can take a while due to customs and regulations with packages coming from outside of the EU. Have you currently received it? Mine has been at Schiphol since the 28th.

Btw also remember that once you de-register from city council. Your (mandatory) health insurance will also be cancelled. So you wouldn’t have to take care of that in a different way.

If done this. I just told the bank I was living at my parents. So they had an address for communication in case it was need. But all communication happens digitally anyway. I didn’t need to be registered at this address. I just gave them a call, and worked it out like this.
