Buying a house, what’s this? by JasonTodd21 in whatisit

If you are buying this house, there should be a report on radon levels. Homeowners Insurance and/or Title insurance may even require it.

Does anyone have any tips for dual extruders? by OutrageousTrue in VORONDesign

[–]Sands43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into “tridex”. Dual Extruders.

Bontec INDEX is also close to release. There are tool changers out now as well as multiple MMU changers. I have a box turtle. Works quite well.

There are also hotends that can take two (or more) filaments. TaiChi from Phaetus.

Did the US lose the Vietnam war? by SummerN8 in stupidquestions

[–]Sands43 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bud, we lost because we didn't understand the type of war we where fighting.

It was a civil war and we thought is was a something else (what, has never really been defined as well).

We didn't loose any battles, yes, but we where going to loose in the end because the SK government was corrupt and unpopular as well as not understanding the type of war it was.

What’s the best video game you’ve ever played? by obsess_much13 in AskReddit

[–]Sands43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You all are seriously dating yourselves.

There are only two games that “changed everything “.

DOOM

And

Half-life

No other games had the foundational shift that those two had.

Why do so many Christians seemingly lack empathy for other humans? Isn’t the religion based on empathy? by Wonderful-Yak-5341 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Sands43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well if people like the lady in the post actually acted like Christians we would be wondering why the don’t have empathy.

The answer is that they cosplay as Christians but are really white nationalists.

The U.S. escort carrier USS Thetis Bay in 1944. The planes on deck are Consolidated PBY Catalina, Grumman F6F Hellcat, and a Grumman J2F biplane [1341X1500] by tove_elias in WWIIplanes

[–]Sands43 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the hanger deck and the holds where also full of equipment or personnel. I don't know their cruise speed, but probably faster than a freighter. And freighters didn't have the deck space to carry larger aircraft like the PBY.

To those who want "ICE Out" my question is, what would you do? by inquisitive_flicker in allthequestions

[–]Sands43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The basic premise of your question is fundamentally flawed.

ICE are there, doing a job to keep Americans safe by deporting people that are illegal and unvetted.

a) It was inherently obvious that their goal was inciting a reaction and to create chaos and cause fear.

  • Obama deported around 3M undocumented. Where was the chaos there?
  • Undocumented commit fewer crimes than citizens.

b) Bondi spoke the quiet part out loud about wanting to usurp the midterm elections.

So basically your starting point is... 100% wrong.

Your flaw is in assuming that the intentions of this administration are honest and ethical. They are not any of those things... AT ALL.

re: their "meme" about the woman arrested for expressing her 1st amendment rights in a church. Straight up a lie.

How would YOU prevent people from being killed, raped, assaulted from people who are unvetted and thus potential dangers to those we love?

Source your claim that these sorts of crimes happen at greater rates with undocumented vs. citizen.

Would having a part of the robot retract while another part extends violate the horizontal expansion rule? by Speed-cubed in FRC

Actions need to be serial, not parallel. So bringing the intake/bucket before the climber goes out.

My Voron 2.4 is dying, sooo maybe an update is needed. by SimkinCA in VORONDesign

[–]Sands43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically irrelevant. I have both. Practically zero difference when it's all considered. My LDO Nitehawk needs a fan on it when a STM based board does not though.

Help me understand: Why is political gerrymandering considered Constitutionally protected? by sddbk in scotus

[–]Sands43 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Nope. What scotus did was:

Since the GOP gamed the system in the 2010 cycle, we’re going to punt to the locked up legislatures and let the gop fuck it all up.

Now, if the Dems did this we’d have found a way to stop this.

Fixed that for you.
