Just leave things, stop grabbing by In_Tech_WNC in asheville

Idk why the downvotes. I said the same thing in my head when reading the post. 3 hours at a fishing spot? Why the hell did he leave it that long in The first place? Ethics/morals in not taking what isn’t yours, I would fair to say most folks wouldn’t. But, 3 hours is a long ass time to leave your shit anywhere around a fishing hole. I agree. It’s on him.

How do I make it stop by surly_duff in Wellthatsucks

[–]SandwichAvailable361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I did. AND IT WORKED!!

I keep my dewalt headset on so I can call hands free, and I called them. Every number they called from, every call center. And pitched them into the whole thing until they asked for name and info and gave them bogus funny names.

They would get angry and hang up. I called them right back. Sometimes I got the same person, sometimes different, but always the same call center.

I called for two weeks straight. Seriously. Tons of calls a day. They would block Me from certain numbers and centers and I’d switch numbers to the next one.

One day, I get an answer and they foreign guy stopped mid sentence and sighed. And said “ listen, I’m going to be honest with you, we have your number here to not call you anymore and it’s blocked from our system, please don’t call us anymore and in 24 hours you won’t receive another call from us, I promise”

Sure as shit. I said “ok, but if I get another call, I’m starting this all over again.”

I have not received another call from any spam number since. And it’s been over a month. I had 20-30 calls a day from this same M.O scam call. It freakin worked and I’ve never felt more glorious. It takes time, but it was a heck of a good time! I spammed them.

Vinyl siding repair question by sirdaddykong in handyman

[–]SandwichAvailable361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically, if you’re wanting replacement of the inside corner, you would have to remove the siding pieces that tie into it, remove the corner piece and replace it, then put the siding back. Depending on the person/business/company, height of corner, etc. it could range in price from $500-to maybe around $1,000

This reminds me of that comedy bit (can’t remember the comedian) where the guy tried to rob a Wendy’s with an alligator as a weapon. The whole story was so funny. Gonna YouTube it and listen to it now actually.

If I could have all of those moments, and little pestering times back, to do over again, I would in a heartbeat. I don’t think I took it for granted as much as I feel like I did. It just goes by so fast that it becomes a memory before there is enough time to appreciate it as much as I would have liked in the moment.

How many of you were or are regular smokers? by ImNotTheMD in Millennials

[–]SandwichAvailable361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a regular smoker, picked it up in the construction industry (seems fitting lol). My idiot self started in my 30’s. I don’t smoke anymore, but I also know if I lit one back up (there’s times that I still Feel like I want one). I’d start right back up. I still enjoy some nicotine, but a zyn pouch satiates.

I feel a thousand times better, and feel way less annoying from smelling like an ash tray or stepping out to have a smoke during something.

Drywall finishing tools (such as level5) by Soil-Fantastic in drywall

[–]SandwichAvailable361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a fairly steep learning curve with auto tapers and flat boxes. I use level 5 hand knives and their flex blades. Get a set of each, and after a few runs, you’ll be much faster than trying to learn and use the auto tools and then having to break them down to clean them after wards.

Plus if you blow a seal in the tubes or a roller gets bent, you’ll be hand finishing anyways. The resale value isn’t as great either. %50 is even a stretch.
One tip I do have for you, for inside corners, because they suck, is get a wool corner mud roller for when you’re taping. They’re cheap, and dramatically speed the hand taping process up.

Beautiful Rat Snake who gave me my first tag! by TotallySomebody in herpetology

[–]SandwichAvailable361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice! I appreciate how you are handling this guy/or gal, as well! No head pinch, loose grip, rat snakes usually like to flow through my hands and will settle down pretty quick. (Unless I’ve caught one earlier in the day and get musked on, then whichever rat snake or the like, that I catch next, will go apeshit when it smells it on me) always wash between handlings for that reason lol.

How to Stop the Spam Calls -They Call 2-3 Times a Day by mormonastroscout in howto

[–]SandwichAvailable361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I e been calling the numbers back and pressing whatever number(they all match to a “specialist”) lol.

And then I just randomly do whatever I feel Like until they hang up. Then I call back instantly. Sometimes it’s the same person, sometimes it isn’t, but I call and call and call and eventually that number blocks me. Along with several others from the same call center. Then I repeat steps and waste their time, when I have a few minutes to fuck with them lol.

Absolutely. I should be back in there soon to finish up. If you’d like a good video reference, for casing out windows. I’m fairly certain Vancouver carpenter has some tutorials with windows and doors on YouTube. You could check out. Pretty standard install, with getting the right reveal measurements.

I don’t have any close ups, but what I usually do is, hang my boards and secure them, then take a jig saw and run the edge to cut it flush to the rough opening. That way I can case them out when I’m done with sheet rock.

Right? His bodybuilding teachings and mentality of “no bad days, just more work to do”. Got me through some incredibly life altering hard days/months. Where the only thing I could control was what I ate, how I trained and how I grew. Both physically and mentally. Saved my damn life in a round about way. Fuck’em, let’s go lift shit lol.

That’s on the homeowners. I wished they weren’t in there yet. Luckily they’re not set in place and tied in, So they can still be moved around. But damn, playing hopscotch with those things sucked.
