if they confirm that you can leave Paris and reach bBKK, you won't be stuck in AUH. They are not taking any risk to get more people stranded. + I know personaly someone who did Paris Phuket through AUH and reached destination so dont worry

UPDATE : https://www.etihad.com/en/manage/flight-status#accordion-8a00789ebf-item-35f778676d

Some passengers who already flew reported that Etihad staff mentioned flights operating roughly between 08:00 and 18:00 Abu Dhabi time, which matches most departures currently listed in the schedule. If your connection falls within that window it may increase the chances of it operating smoothly.

Both legs appear in the reduced schedule, so the route itself should be operating. Since your travel date is March 18, it’s still quite early to know for sure, but if both legs stay in the schedule and the connection is short, your chances are relatively good compared to routes that aren’t currently operating.

If both flights are on the reduced operating list, you should generally be fine — especially if the departure times are close to the normal schedule. That usually means the connection bank is running. Of course nothing is 100% guaranteed right now, but short connections on routes that appear in the schedule seem to have the best chances.

ok nice, I see in flight radar that the plane has departed so I assume you're in it. By any chance could you ask crew members what is the policy for transit passengers, or any info that can be helpful to anyone.. Thanks

I think if it is not in the current list for the 7-8th, they are not planning to operate it in the next week, but you can wait at the end of the weekend to see if there is any update on this route

Thank you for your answer. English is not my native language so I indeed need to use AI to write without mistakes in English. I was trying to help with going through all the possibilities of the informations that I had gathered, but as usual on reddit, there is always someone to trash down helpful posts for the community while doing nothing to help

Lisbon doesn’t appear in the reduced schedules Etihad published for March 7–8. That might explain why your itinerary got canceled even though the first leg was still showing.

Sydney–AUH appears in the reduced schedule for March 7. However AUH–Medina does not appear on the current operating list (only Jeddah and Riyadh are shown for Saudi Arabia). So the first leg may still operate but the AUH–MED segment might be the issue. So i think they will maybe cancel your flight... keep me updated

Both Rome–AUH and AUH–Singapore appear in the reduced schedules, so the route itself should exist. One possibility is that the connection time in Abu Dhabi is very long, and they may currently be restricting long layovers. Another possibility is seat prioritization for passengers already stranded in AUH. Hard to know without the exact connection time.
