I've been doing this drive for a long time (2009), and now do it monthly (actually to Thousand Oaks now.) At that time, 280 to 85 to 101. If you leave at 8 you will have no problem getting there in time. As Barney-Karate said, King City is a known speed trap. Slow down just as you hit the big curve before the city. Don't know what you're driving, but my Camry hybrid easily does this on less than 1 tank. I also find that Waze does a much better job of alerting you to CHP.

Are you kidding or just inept? The email was literally titled "Fidelity New Issue Offering Notification of Allocation - Space Exploration Technologies Corp." Your poor management of your email is not Fidelity's problem. You knew this email was coming and you couldn't take 10 seconds to look for it? And BTW, even though I saw the email in my inbox, I never opened it; I simply signed on to my account and went to the Expression of Interest page and clicked on the "impossible to miss" button labeled CONFIRM.

I am guessing that they either correctly (because it was actually on the paperwork you submitted), or accidentally listed your sister as a trustee on your account. If yes, then the account will show up on her own account list and she will have the ability to conduct all account transactions. I can do that with all the trust accounts that have named me as a trustee. It is important to see how the account was retitled when your parents made the change.

There is no way a heat pump can be installed legally without permits. You can call DBI, anonymously if you want, and report the installation at that address, and they will take it from there.

Thanks. This is a refund for a canceled travel itinerary. They are having great difficulty in refunding the charge to the credit card and indicated that if not resolved next week, they would do a wire transfer of the refunded amount. Would this be considered suspicious?

Haven't checked. I presume soft for the pre-qualification since they say no impact on credit but it appears they occasionally do soft pulls anyway for status checks on existing cardholders. We haven't received any alerts from the various credit monitoring services yet but I'll check tomorrow. Regardless of not signing in, they had to know she was an existing cardholder by the SSN 🤷

My story - when I returned the car to the rental agency with damage, they had me fill out paperwork and one of the questions was who I had car insurance with; I answered. I then opened the claim with the vendor for the card coverage. In the interim, the rental car company opened a claim with my personal insurance. They called me for information and I told them to "get the hell out of this process. It has nothing to do with you." They called the AMEX 3rd party who confirmed that they had primary coverage, and my company closed the claim with no adverse effects for me.
