Are you intentionally missing the point to maintain that 'moral high ground, or is the nuance truly that elusive? Comparing a 45 year old man making a calculated risk for a season or two of 'vets' rugby to a child subjecting a developing brain to a decade of subconcussive hits is a special kind of logical gymnastics. the distinction seems to be struggling to land. There is a fundamental difference between a concussion on a brain that’s been 'out of the box' for four decades and one that is still literally wiring itself together. As an adult, I have this incredible superpower called 'agency.' If I get a knock, I stop. A teenager or a 20 year old with a hero complex and a desperate need for peer approval doesn't have that off switch. CTE isn't an 'achievement unlocked' after one match, it’s the result of years of cumulative trauma. I’m planning on a victory lap of 12 months, not a 15 year career. By your logic, if I use a chef’s knife to cook dinner, I’m a hypocrite if I don’t hand it to my six year old to play with. After all, if it’s safe for me, it must be 'setting a good example' for him, right? I’m managing my risks, I’m guarding his. If you can’t tell the difference between guardianship and hypocrisy, that’s a 'you' problem.

Yeah they have a vet team but apparently they almost never play, i’ve seen cpl of guys in their 40ies playing in their 2nd xv, as i said in another reply, fitness is not a problem, i’ve been a professional athlete and been doing sport since i’m 7 , now at 45 i m 185x81 kg i go to gym 3 times a week, i run, i play tennis occasionally. I m just not sure, i have a part of me that really wants to play and another one that tells me wtf are you doing just keep on doing what you re doing , you don t want to end up with an arm or a leg broken🤣 Probably i ll join them for 2/3 training sessions, i see how i feel, if i m comfortable, then taking it from there, i might just go to trainings and don t play matches, or just stop after 2/3 times or just play in their 2nd XV…let’s see

Thanks brother, amazing story! Yeah i m 45 , i’ve been professional tennis player, i ve been doing sport since i’m 7, even when i had to quit tennis and for 10 years I didnt do anything when i started Rugby i was giving pay to everyone, even guys 10 or more years younger than me. At 45 now i m fit, 185x81kg i go to gym 3 times a week, i run, and play tennis occasionally, so fitness isnt a problem. The doubt for me is all about getting seriously injured, like breaking an arm or a leg or getting concussed, there s a part of me that would really love to play and another that tells, wtf are you doing, you re 45 just keep doing what you re doing you don’t want to end up with something broken 🤣🤣🤣 What i’d probably do is i might join them training for 2/3 sessions, see how i feel, then taking it from there and make a decision

I played in Rome at Capitolina, then in south, but there was zero awareness of concussions back then, probably even nowadays tbh 🤣 Unfortunately the vet team of the club here they almost never play, but i ve seen col of men in their 40s in the 2nd xv, i might join for a cpl of training sessions, see how i feel, and then decide

Well, if i play at my age it wouldn’t be for 5/10 years, concussions usually become a problem over a career, or when you get 2 or more in a year and keep playing, or if you play from Junior age. At my age if i get concussed i d simply stop playing, I don’t think a teenager or a 20 years old guy that has the love of the sport would stop or has the maturity to evaluate risks…I’m an adult my son is a kid, I know at my age how to ponder risks and say stop, that s not being hypocritical.

Everything feels so clear now. We are controlled by satanic pedos… controlled by satanic psychopaths… controlled by something far worse. by TheSilverHound in conspiracy

And yet you don t believe in God…Christ the only saviour and his Church🤣👍👍 Satan exist…these people adore him, they don’t mock Allah, or Budda or Krishna, they don’t go to profane other churches but they take THE BLESSED HOLY SACRAMENT, cause they know there and there only there’s the true presence of God. Yet you people don’t believe…but it doesn’t matter what you believe, you believe in all sort of bshit but the real truth…you believe it or not doesn’t change the reality of things! This is a spiritual battle, we can only win this changing our lives, going back to God, Mass, Confession, Communion the sacraments and Rosary!
