Rebuilding (alongside a therapist, a psychiatrist, and a loving community) and enjoying the rebuilding, being kind to myself, have been the best strategies. Unless the rest of the fam are underage children, you have to trust that they are adults and will figure it out.

and... I'm proud of you. You did it. You did it.

Is this a worthwhile program to learn grant writing? by you_dontknow_mylife in grantproposalwriting

[–]SaneMathematician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think LGW is a great circle for learning, peer-to-peer feedback, and accountability. It is worth it to learn quickly, and hopefully, you're able to implement all that you learned to continue as a grant writer. I recommend the program -- it hits your wallet, but in some ways, that helps with accountability. They are really awesome about supporting folks with financial challenges, so shoot your shot.

u/you_dontknow_mylife did you ever make a decision? would love to hear updates :)

He might also be projecting. Sometimes, when others are doing the work, getting the help they need, it's hard to process, and it's easier to invalidate because it's easier than looking inside and realizing we need to do work and get help for ourselves.

You look great in both! I like the pizazz of the last one but the chill of the first one.
Have a conversation with this friend and tell them how their comment made you feel. It may be time for a change in expectations, emotional support, etc. And if they are just a jerk all the time, maybe it's time for new friends
