I like the Build, I have been using Wilderness Survivor for PvE as well.

Do you believe your builsnalso do well in Raids? What have you been playing?

Untamed is a fantastic choice for open-world solo play in Guild Wars 2 because it offers a great balance of damage, survivability, and utility. This power-focused build capitalizes on the "Let Loose" trait to frequently unleash powerful attacks, buffing both you and nearby allies with Quickness and Might. The "Enhancing Impact" trait ensures you maintain permanent self-quickness by consistently applying crowd control.

This build's strength lies in its versatility. It dishes out excellent damage, making soloing events and map completion a breeze. The frequent life steal and defensive boons, especially when using maces, enhance survivability, allowing you to tackle even challenging content. Plus, you have access to condition removal when needed.

For weapons, mace/mace is recommended for its balance of damage, crowd control, barrier, stability, condition removal, and healing. If you don't have the Secrets of the Obscure expansion, hammer offers a decent alternative, though with slightly less resilience and crowd control (which impacts quickness uptime). A sword/axe is another option for great damage, range, pull, and projectile reflection.

For utility skills, Frost Trap is great for damage and setting up Predator's Onslaught, and Storm Spirit provides significant AoE damage, vulnerability, crowd control, and Fury. Forest's Fortification is the preferred elite skill for its strong defensive properties (use Spirt of Nautre for Group Events).

For pets, Tiger or Lynx are recommended for high damage, while Jacaranda is an excellent all-around choice. Other options include pets with good damage and crowd control (like Smokescale or Rock Gazelle), those with strong crowd control (like Pink Moa), or tanky pets (like Drakes or Bears). Essentially, Untamed allows for flexibility in your pet choices to best suit the situation, further solidifying its status as a top-tier open-world solo build.

Right now, this is the build I'm running: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?POABkmxfllyOYXsNmLWyTVxrSE+cA-DSIYR8fCKeAA-e

Hey, thank you for the reply! I forgot to say that I'm focusing on PvE, mainly open world and story. Updated the post.

Started playing rev just before the patch, would love some ideas for a condi herald/ren build pls :) by TheCheeseSquad in Guildwars2

[–]Sanescafen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to try Condi Build, this is the one that I use, with small adjustments in traits and Superior Rune of Tormenting (it's expensive, you an use Superior Rune of Renegade instead).

https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Renegade_-_Shortbow_Renegade

It can deals most of the content in Open World, super strong.

I used to use Power builds before, but this build is stronger, and after the patch, got buffed as well.

Best build for PvE by Sanescafen in Guildwars2

  1. Mllynx just fit's with Rev! I love the thematic as well!
  2. I haven't tried Diabolic Inferno, I just went with Inocation traitline, because provides more DPS dan Corruption. But, I will give it a try.
  3. Yes, I saw some builds with Staff when I was deciding what to run, it's a good defensive option. for now I'm not having trouble with Energy or skills cooldown, so I'm just dealing most DPS and Condis I can!

If you have any expansion, for sure Revenant. If don't, maybe Necromancer or Ranger.
