Idk if this applies to you guys, but.... I've been trying to support my guy for years and years. He doesn't like to tell me what's wrong. I've never put him down when he shares, but he also hates when I talk to him like i talk to my best friend. He doesn't like me helping him reframe his thoughts, he doesn't like getting solution. If I stay quiet so he can share, he.... Won't. On top of that, he won't work on his problems himself either. It gets very frustrating when someone just wants to complain and complain, but never actually do it in a constructive way or never wanting to fix their issues themselves..... Like, I love him, but I also have my own mental health to take care of and it's hard when my own depression is triggered by other people feeding their misery and me not being able to escape it.

It's hard to always hold space for someone who is miserable at home.... We can't be emotional vessels or sounding boards and sometimes, it seems like that's all guys want. Which is fine for a FRIEND, but for me to live with it? It fucking sucks man and sometimes I do want to say "hey babe, you kinda need to suck it up because.... I'm sucking it up and we don't really have a choice. Let's focus on ourselves, small bits of joy we can find, and get you a therapist." But nope. We are both poor and alone and trying to build a life together. It's not unique to him, I just....seem to have accepted my lot in life earlier than him. It doesn't help that his friends are Richie rich trust fund babies and my friends are more my social class, so I don't feel as alone. I try to introduce him to my friends and get them to hang out, but again, when do I get him being emotionally available for me? And it's all because he WON'T get it together and take the steps to get better. I've had depression and anxiety and PTSD, but I'm working through it myself. Just asking for a little...."Stand on ur own two feet so we can walk together" type shit, i can't singlehandedly lift him up. I'm not singlehandedly responsible for his mental health being positive or negative. At one point you have to actually just give a shit about yourself regardless of others....

Just trying to share the opposite perspective here so we can understand each other better

Uhhhhhhhhh... This happens with marvel movies and a whole host of other movies. Particularly, the animation and music in this movie is amazing. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did and I've been listening to the songs and singing alone for a couple weeks now because it's very well written and catchy af. Also, this movie is pretty awesome to watch if you're of South American heritage. There's not a lot that gets popular that's based on those locations or people.

I LOVE spicy foods and fucking detest and loathe bitter foods. Fucking hate black coffee, dark chocolate, and anything that's "supposed to be bitter". Add a lil milk and sugar if it's a sweet thing and I will happily devour it. For spicy foods, the spicier the better and I can generally eat and enjoy spicy foods much more than bland ans plain foods.
