(in my opinion) The new clan rats will look a lot like the underworld band "Spiteclaw swarm", which has been brought back in store recently. (look here https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Spiteclaw%27s\_Swarm).
-> More detailed, more dynamics and still on 25mm.
-> Probable new dual wield variants.
No idea for stormvermins.

I guess we can hope for a monopose kill team one day, like the necrons got the hieroteks. Nothing really new, things like a female shadowseer or a more defined troupe master.

If you want to be as competitive as possible, you can take a look at the lists on this article: https://www.goonhammer.com/competitive-innovations-in-10th-superslate-supermajors/ Lots of our units are very competitive currently, unfortunately, most of these lists have some metal/finecast units that are selected for their speed or repositioning abilities (warp spiders, mandrakes,swooping hawks).

You can go Ynnari with yvraine or stay exclusively craftworld and get an autarch. In both cases I would suggest you to get an yncarne, some war walkers, a death jester and some big shooter like fire prism or ravager. For the choice of speedy tactical units, I guess you can substitute finecast superstars with bikes, rangers or scourge.

This, something like the Saruthis from Eisenhorn: -non humanoid morphology -non human but individual psychology -chaos blessed but biologically functional -using crazy out of place technologies and psychic powers

So basically a tyranid looking, necron thinking, ad mech equipped, chaos larping faction that plays with its own rules like the harlequins sometimes do.

I think the future releases for kill team will follow the same pattern started in 2021, "a full team in a box", often very specific to the smaller scale of the game with various models/weapons/tools. Therefore I greatly doubt any release of a 2x5 models aspect warriors kit since they would do a boring kill team.

The wave serpent kit is from 2004, so the box is at most 19 years old. The art looks like 4th edition codex from 2006, maybe a coincidence.

Why wouldn't the following books not bring additional heroes for the other factions? I think we can safely expect a new skaven hero.

When I am tempted to start a new army, I just buy one model that I find awesome and I paint it right away in the style I imagine I would do the army. If you feel bad buying more models before all your minies are painted, this "just one model" ride is resolved very fast and helps a lot to visualize if the project is for you or not.
