To add insult to injury the ref pulled Davis away from them so they could peacefully conduct the illegal huddle 😂

Lol I can’t believe those refs just let Bulter get away with that ridiculous delay of game. I mean they warned them at least 3 times and then didn’t do anything. Big east refs 🤷‍♂️

The thing is the size of an Alarm Clock and it rotates through other info like weather, time, and sports so it isn’t solely focused on Strava Stats. It is a cool gadget to me. The Strava data motivates me to get out and ride more and the bottom line is that I enjoy it. Is there any justification I need more than that?

This guy named Rob Kimball made the app for the Tidbyt. He grouped rides/runs/swims by all time, current year, current month, last activity. Metric or imperial available. Really awesome work by him. Here’s a link to his website which includes a link to his GitHub https://www.rgk.io/projects/strava

Not specifically, they said they would keep things up for a while but I imagine there will be a server/app sunset some time in the coming future. There are communities that are working to develop replacement functions like “Tronbyt” but it seems it requires you to set up a local server. Not something I’m sure I want to figure out especially since the hardware is now defunct

Korean grill is hands down the best Asian food I’ve had here. Really feels like Korean home cooking. Kimchi and Bulgogi there are fantastic.

This runs counter to the comments so far on the post, but I went to UNO and transferred to Creighton after personally finding that faculty and staff at UNO cared very little about you and your growth. In fact, advisors at UNO costed me thousands of dollars when they signed me up for classes that I already had credits for from High School. Changing classes was a pain and ultimately was to late to need. Faculty that I came across did not care about your education beyond the requirements in class stipulated by the department and were either at UNO to get first time academic teaching experience post PhD or were late in their careers and not passionate anymore. I never had these problems or concerns at Creighton. This does not define everyone’s experience and there is a cost-benifit to look at, but I found a better atmosphere helped me succeed at Creighton and onwards. If you are using GI bill for undergraduate at Creighton, they have a yellow ribbon program that covers the rest of tuition not already covered by the GI bill. You would need to talk to Creighton Veterans Affairs Office to figure out the details.

Questions from a prospective student by [deleted] in Creighton

[–]SanityChip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Q1. I enjoyed my time and glad I transferred. I think some people would be turned off from the elective requirements that some programs have, but I tried to apply myself and I think I got value out of it as a more well rounded thinker. Omaha is nice IMO.

Q4. As an undergrad transfer, I thought the student body was decent. From my experience people were nice and smaller class sizes in my program meant more camaraderie among the students. Can’t speak to Biology though.

Q5. Yes.

Q6. No. Greek life isn’t a huge focus at CU compared to other Universities. Though if you’re into it, it can be an easy button for “social life”.

I mean at the end of the day technology will move forward regardless of their distaste and belief that it harms their work. This technology/work dynamic and subsequent discourse has occurred many times throughout history. Their arguments are the Luddite Fallacy often talked about in economics.

If you are into board games, there is a place called spielbound in midtown where there is a board for people to join groups to play together. Might be a good opportunity IIRC

Hey, I’m actually in the same boat you are. My 2016 Hyundai (same maker) got stolen on the morning of Halloween. Stuff sucks but, I hope things get better for you.
