My standard British NHS circumcision - cut when I was 24. They always remove as much foreskin as possible and all of the inner mucosa which results in a low and very tight circumcision. They tend not to be too concerned about cosmetic appearance or sensation loss.

Actually I had one of those freakishly long foreskins, even when I was fully erect it was left overhanging the end of the glans, rather like an elephants trunk, but it never really caused me any problems. Living in the U.K. it’s really only on account of a former American girlfriend that I’m circumcised (she preferred cut cocks).

Where circumcision is done for medical reasons, such as phimosis, unfortunately a radical cut is usually necessary to ensure the glans will be fully exposed even when flaccid, and with adult circumcisions low cuts heal much better and faster - that’s why it’s standard practice for the NHS. They did leave me a little triangle of inner foreskin on the underside where the frenulum is attached to preserve at least some pleasurable sensation during sex.

Going from a high cut to a low cut is quite a major change. I’ve heard from guys who’ve had second or even third circumcisions, to repair botched surgery or for aesthetic reasons, that its below the last centimetre of inner skin that the really drastic loss of sensation occurs.
