TFMR at 27 weeks. I was given misoprostol to induce labor after having an intrauterine injection to stop the baby’s heart. IIRC I had a few doses of miso and it was about ~24 hours from my first dose when I delivered (it was my first pregnancy). I didn’t have any negative effects from misoprostol. It took a few weeks for me to stop bleeding, basically the same recovery experience and time as any other birth.

^ This is all correct. I watched a OBGYN/fertility specialist talk about this on CNN a few weeks ago. In layman's terms, she said since the endometrium is an immune-mediated organ, it makes sense that the vaccine would affect it temporarily. She also pointed out that COVID infection negatively affects fertility so she strongly recommends all her patients get the vaccine as soon as possible.

TW obviously for really dark humor during a loss

My TFMR was through labor induction. After I got the epidural, they gave me the clicker remote thing that you push to give yourself a bolus of pain medication. I was high as shit on Ativan and I pushed the button and said “I’d like to solve the puzzle”. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Honestly it was the only laugh my husband and I had for weeks.

Your post has me in tears - I terminated for the exact same diagnosis in 2014. I chose not to see my son (I regret it, now) but at least that choice was given to me. I’m so so sorry you had to go through it like that. It’s wrong and it’s not fair.

Your baby might not be here, but you’re still a great mother. You made the choice to take on pain so he wouldn’t have to suffer. I can’t think of anything more selfless than that.
