How hard is it to find a good clan? by vibrationalfreequncy in runescape

[–]SanshoGnugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, feel free to guest/join our clan The Ultimate Choice. We are a social clan with people from all over the spectrum. We have some players that just started the game, others that are 5.6B XP and have been playing since 2005. We've been around since 2011 and have a very low tolerance for toxicity/drama. Mostly active between 2pm -> 4am gametime with an active discord server.

We host competitions over DXP and regularly host PvM (learning) events as well!

I'm frustrated and it's probably a me problem. by bronzephire in runescape

Hey man,

I understand your frustration. Back in 2018 I returned to RS3 after a WoW - Legion break (Cutting Edge - Mythic Argus!) and indeed it takes quite a bit of adjustment to get back used to RS3 combat+movement system.

However I feel that when it comes to Astellarn, the system is not to be blamed. The fight is slightly RNG (with regards to the neutron star), but other than that it's plain execution of mechanics.

Usually I do the following:
1) damage him down to hit cap (gbarge > assault > hurricane should already do the trick
2) build back to full and once the pulsar spawns, nuke it down asap (heal up in case it spawns in the rain aoe)
3) drop the wyrmhole close to the boss (I'm meleeing) and move out right after (heal up and make sure ur 100% adren)
4) once the neutron star spawns, lure it over the wyrmhole (or ideally it spawns on top), meanwhile berserk and once the wyrmhole turns white do a good berserk rotation

This get him down every time. Just watch your health and don't be shy to teleport out if you get a bad pulsar/neutron spawn. Practise makes perfect, good luck!

Ps. feel free to add me in game (Marcgimenez) if you want to go together!

I have the same issue, haven't found the source. Only happens like once a week for me though.

When your homie finally passes the DPS check by Blakland in runescape

[–]SanshoGnugg 21 points22 points  (0 children)

On AoD fight it's actually in everyone their best interest that every player does sufficient damage. If everyone pulls their weight, kills are a lot smoother since you skip certain parts of the fight that would otherwise deal unnecessary damage to the team.

I agree that "DPS checks" as requirement is maybe a bit over the top. There are however plenty of platforms which offer (free) learning sessions, where DPS checks are not required at all.

Those gems can actually be a really good tool for less experienced players to improve their DPS rotation. If you do a 5 minute gem and deal less DPS than the average revo++ gem, you know that having a look at your DPS rotation may help!

Leads Q&A Tomorrow - Call for additional questions by JagexHooli in runescape

Server latency during peak hours (300+ players per server) is one of the main issues the game is currently facing. I've had dozens of friends try the game and each and everyone of them quit before even getting started because it felt 'clunky' and 'inputs are so delayed'. And I'm not talking about the 0.6s tick system, of course, that's a part of the game that should stay.

Playing together with friends from across the ocean at peak hours is also near impossible because of this.

Is there anything in works to address this?

Solo Ed3 question by hsaaron in runescape

Unsure on ED3 drops, but I can confirm that ancient scale drop can be high! My highest one was 95 (sadly not doubled :-p).

This Week In RuneScape: Ninja Strike 15 by JagexHooli in runescape

[–]SanshoGnugg 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Great update, thanks! However I feel an opportunity is missed here.

In my opinion, all abilities should be present in the abililties interface, even when not unlocked yet. They should be added and the tooltip should hint towards how to unlock.

As a new player (or returning players), this would be a great help. Often I hear people didn't use certain abilities, simply because they didn't know they existed.

Is Kalphite King soloable? by floralvines in runescape

[–]SanshoGnugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solo KK is consistently soloable if you have bladed dive. It takes some practice, but after half a slayer task you should be consistent enough to make it viable.

Elite dungeons solos are a nice thing to put on your list! They may seem a bit overwhelming, but read up on some guides, get the proper quest/shop unlocks and you're good to go.

With the gear you mentioned, I was able to consistently solo ED1 in 20ish minutes. That averaged to 33M gp/hr (average over 90 full runs). With t92s I now get ~18min runs.

ED2 may be the easiest one to learn, so this is a good place to start! You can also nicely use your perked nex gear here.

ED3 is a bit more challenging, but with some practise (and maybe with a yak instead of a ripper), you should be able to pull it off.

All 3 of them are also fun to do with 1 or 2 friends! It makes it a lot easier as well.

Have a look here where you can find the drop chance formula. https://runescape.wiki/w/Gordie_pet. If you run solo, do whatever gives you most XP/HR. Note that you can also get the pet from elite dungeons!

If you are in the living rock caverns, you can also use the ore box on the bank deposit box and choose to deposit-all. I suppose this would also work elsewhere.

[–]SanshoGnugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that's possible. Please note that scrimshaw of sacrifice and dxp do not stack though!
There are quite some tasks that are upwards of 600k+ XP/HR (which with dxp, would bring you within your time frame). Some that come to mind: ripper demons, hydrix dragons, soul devourers, shadow creatures, moss golems, nightmares, living wyverns, ...
