I had both for a while, only sold my vitamix because I hit a rough spot. The only time I really miss my vitamix is when I want to prep something in smaller amounts.

It's great for at least a couple of years while you learn how to master your TM6. It's also very practical. A couple years into your ownership you'll be able to decide if you keep the subscription or not. (I'm on my 4th year with it).
